They're called fillers OP. Most people skip them. There're, however, good fillers like the Kakashi ANBU filler arc. And the last episode of part 1 was canon.

I watched all of them, and in my eyes, some filler arc are pretty damn good, I even consider canon. So no , I don't quit, cause unlike you, I love almost all the Naruto characters I don't watch naruto for sasuke or naruto only. In part 2 they even neglect all the konoha11 with 2 years timeskip hype which is why I prefer shippuden anime over manga.
