Where the hell are you guys getting Im going to drop out?

Geesh, Im just talking about not wanting to study for things thats above what I can do for right now.

Its like 1st gr studying 4th gr work while studying on 1st gr too.
Get what im trying to say?

Okay what the hell? Giving up?
I actually want a life when I get older ok.

It seems noone understand what the hell i said in my OP.
And you didn't answer my question.

Would you? Or would you not?
If you wouldn't , then You should understand what Im trying to say

And just to everyone, who can't seem to realize, that dropping out was not what the hell I was even getting at in the slightest.

I AM NOT GOING TO DROP OUT, GIVE UP OR ANYTHING ELSE YOU HAVE COME UP WITH.

Well:

Okay, My mom is super pissed off at me and thinks Im going to be a dumbass. Here is why:
OKay so I told my mom i was nervous about not being able to be smart enough to graduate high school, just a typical me. I never feel smart enough at school but Im defintely not an idiot. So my mom assured me that the test were easy, you know the test you take before they let you graduate. So she is telling me I should study everything right now, like all kinds of math and english, science so on and so on, thats not even on my level, if I was so worried. I told her I would probably get stressed. I get stressed by thinkng about school so anyways, I don't want to study stuff that I wont be able to comprehend right now. How the hell am I suppose to understand caculus if I still have my hardships in algebra?
I could probably move to an higher advance in english, history and maybe science, but in math.
I ain't trying advance to something, I won't understand just yet.
Even me studying for a test, that I won't be taking for a awhile is bothersome.
Im going to get packed with homework and studies when I go back to school, why the hell would I add on another sh-tload?

And I hate homework and studies! :dafq: Pisses me off thinking about it.! :rage:

Anyways, Am I in the wrong here?

Bold. Some signs here and there. What do I know? xD

Back to what I said. Talk to your mother.

Oh alright! Well, defiantly do not study above level Math. You honestly won't get anywhere... basically imagine trying to study Algebra without knowing how to add, subtract, multiply, or divide....those four would be like what algebra is in Calculus, or as you go further... you build on it.

I'd say try to take some of the advanced courses if nothing is giving you too much trouble. And as far as studying... look over things you've already done. Re-read some notes from the last Math year... or just look over tests. If something looks 100% foreign, try and look up a quick guide on it through Google. But chances are, if you somewhat recall it, you will be fine as for the most part, the first two chapters of you next year in math usually covers what you learned in the last year... so long as you somewhat remember things... should help you out.

Thanks! :win:
Needed some closure XD.
I still have all my mathbooks from last year.
I was actually planning on doing a re-run before I start school again.
You know, freshen up the mind XD

Your original post made it seem like you were done with school. If you want to know what I think about your mom asking you to study math that is too advanced for you, then here is my answer: Studying material without knowing the prerequisite is illogical. With that being said, you should worry less about being 'right or wrong' in an argument and become focused on learning the math that you're taking.

Try to get a tutor. When I was in high school I found that getting help from people my age worked a lot better than getting help from adults.

Lol. I was just talkng about my insecurties. The only thing that gives me the heeberjeebers about is Math.
Oh god,, Math. Haunts me in my dreams XD.

Did she actually make you get( buy/borrow from library) books for university level and study it right now? If not you are over reacting. She just wanted you to put more of an effort. To read books from above your level you must finish the ones you are supposed to be reading now and do it well.

BTW it does help if you complete your current course timely and properly and then check out the stuff from the next level. You may not understand it all at this time let alone complete it but you will know what you will be studying next and how much preparation you will need. Half the battle is won if we are prepared for it and have the right mind set when we start. You don't need to cross the next step at once but there putting your hand on the next one on your ladder will only give you better support. When the time comes you won't be overwhelmed that easily.

No, she didn't but she said one day, when I come home from school. All my electronics will be gone, and nothing but the wall will be in my room and I will have nothing to do for the rest of my high school life but study , eat and study, Ira...

Lol @ bold, I didn't mean literally, I was just giving some examples.

But you seem to get the point by now, only do what you can handle and move on when you feel like your comfortable. Best way to overcome problems with math is to practice a bunch of problems. Don't even look at calculus right now, it will look like gibberish. Your mom may be overreacting slightly but that's only cause she loves you and she worries. Anyways, the main thing is motivation. My motivation for school is to not be a bum and eventually live a successful and happy life. The point of my previous post was to motivate you to not end up like my friends but I guess I went about it in a bad way. Good luck with school man and just talk to your mom about this. She's your mom so she'll understand.

Lol, everyone pretty much brought me down, thinking I was going to be a drop out. Its fine though.
@Bold
I avoid talking to my mom because of a simple reason. She never understands :dunno:
I keep stuff to myself usually. =D

Don't worry. I doubt she will try to make you follow this routine to the letter. If she was that strict you wouldn't be on NB in the first place. Parents say a lot of things but they are not stupid, usually, and are trying to make a balance. They try to fix things in your life by their personal experience- they have been there, remember?

But if she can enforce it even partially, it will only be the best for you in future. Whatever the age - as a parent or child, we need to focus on our priorities which will affect our future. Electronics do make us waste a lot of time as they distract us pretty easily. On the other hand one has to get in to habit of studying regularly with discipline. This time ( high school and preparation for college) flies by pretty fast but if we are lax during this time and pay more attention to fun part- it often comes at a high cost later on in the life. Think of where you want to be in next 10 years.

In the worst case scenario of her really enforcing this routine strictly- Take it easy and if she does make you only eat and study for some time do so sincerely - lol.

It's not that bad and I am sure she will allow you some fun time and other activities without even asking if that goes on for long. For if nothing else - it's practically impossible for parents to become that stern suddenly when they didn't try it that strictly before. Otherwise you can ask for some freedom once you catch up with your studies. Though I really believe that you can avoid all this trouble if you just make up a time table and keep up with regular studies.

Pot heads don't drop out, they go on to make Apple computers.
