Don't call yourself fodder. There's a lot you can do with a limited pool, you just have to think about it for a bit. I've always been an enthusiast for just showcasing what you have rather than getting everything in a short period of time; it shows more skill than having other stuff.

With that ramble out the way, let's start with this. Tell me what you know of Wind. What are the main properties of Wind, tell me the relationship it has with each of the basic elements, and two common users of Wind Release in the manga and how they've shown to use it.

Uhhhh, Wind is known for its shredding ability(Formed by making chakra sharp and thin). Wind techniques are usually performed by generating air circulation. It is strong against lightning since it is a natural insulator. Wind is weak against Fire since it will just fuel the fire. Wind can be used with fire and water to make stronger jutsu's. Such as firing off a Fire based attack and adding wind behind it and adding wind to watwr to increase destructive power. manipulation.Asuma used his wind chakra to enhance the cutting ability of his knives giving them the ability to cut through rocks.
Danzō could exhale from his mouth powerful vacuum-based attacks that could either slash or pierce his enemies.needed He could also use Wind Release to manoeuvre himself in mid-air. Danzō could also use chakra flow to enhance a kunai's offensive power by pouring his wind-natured chakra through it. Sorry you said two i gave you three, (other sensei method sorry bout that)

That's good. Basically put, Wind is known for being sharp which gives it cutting action. Though Wind also has another method which is used as impact, and doesn't cut too well but merely pushes.

Your elemental strengths and weaknesses are spot-on, so I won't go much over that. It's able to disperse lightning, preventing it from travelling through the Wind, but provides fire with a stronger fuel and strengthens it.

Let me ask you something, what would happen if a Wind and Fire jutsu of equal rank were to collide with each other?

Haha Thanks, now if wind and fire of equal rank were to collide I assume the fire would continue forward though at a lower rank because the wind is going against it rather than fueling it. It takes some of the fire power from the fire so to speak.

You're right on that one. Wind is known for fuelling Fire, but that only counts if they're going in the same direction. When they're colliding, Wind acts like it's trying to blow out the fire, and failing so that they continue. Just remember this for Wind in general, but can be applied to every elemental weakness.

B-Rank Wind = C-Rank Fire
B-Rank Wind < B-Rank Fire
A-Rank Wind > C-Rank Fire

In short, the elemental weakness needs to be two ranks higher in order to overpower it. Wind against Fire, Water against Earth, etc.

I'll continue without asking for questions, you seem to be more knowledgeable. Is this your first training session in general or have you had more before this? xD

But anyway, this is sort of a small disclaimer for this training. My style is meant to somewhat replicate that of my own sensei, Zero Kelvin's style. I won't be asking you to perform techniques since it gets repetitive and I don't want that. Instead, I'll be taking a more theoretical approach and asking more questions about the techniques, trying to find out your favourite techniques as well as trying to help you out in a battle sense so you understand the techniques more thoroughly than just performing it. I guess, this is starting to sound repetitive. xD

No questions? Good, we'll continue with techniques.

No problem, let's get started!

(Fūton: Fūsajin no Jutsu) - Wind Release: Dust Wind Technique
Type: Defence
Rank: D
Range: Short
Chakra Cost: 10
Damage Points: N/A
Description: The user creates a gust of wind that layers an area in loose sand and dust. Doing so also acts as a sandblaster on the surrounding area. This layer of sand that accumulates on the trees during this technique makes it difficult for others to get a good footing. The initial gust can also temporarily blind opponents by lodging sand in their eyes

Incredibly useful technique, but rather situational in terms of your terrain. Temari was shown using a fan with this technique to dislodge Sasuke's movement when chasing Gaara in Part I, so it's pretty good in situations like this. It's not going to work if you're fighting on an ocean or anything. Without a fan, you can use this with a strong gust from your mouth.

(Fūton: Sensougouheki) - Wind Release: Rumbling wind wall
Rank: D
Type: Attack/Defence
Range: Short
Chakra Cost: 10
Damage Points: 20
Description: User creates a wall of spinning wind in front of him that is used to push back weapons thrown towards him. It can also be used against taijutsu close range attacks, but the wall can be pushed back with a stronger wind jutsu or if a smoke bomb or explosive tag touches the spinning wind they will automatically get activated because of the sharpness of the wind element, damaging the user also.

Another strong technique to use especially in freeform, where you can keep them at bay if you're afraid of them getting close. This doesn't work on explosives since the sharp properties of the wind as we discussed earlier will activate them. It's mainly a defense technique, but it's highly effective against techniques like Shuriken Shadow Clone. This technique is created, so you form it in front of you using chakra rather than blowing it out.

(Fūton: Kaze Ogawa no Jutsu) - Wind Release: Wind Stream Technique
Rank: D
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short
Chakra cost: 10
Damage points: N/A
Description: This technique allows the user to change direction in mid-air at high speeds by simply blowing wind out their mouth. The user can also use this technique by blowing it at the ground and causing a dust cloud to rise, concealing the users location and movement.

This is an incredibly useful technique, in mid-air you can change the direction of your falling at high speeds to avoid techniques. Just note that you can only use this in mid-air to avoid techniques because people will call you out on it if you don't use it that way. Creating dust is useful, but you can use a smoke bomb instead, which doesn't cost chakra, nor does it use up a move.

(Fūton: Kaze Iwa Rendan) - Wind Release: Wind Rock Barrage
Rank: D
Type: Offensive
Range: Short - Mid
Chakra cost: 10
Damage points: 20
Description: The user creates a huge stream of wind that carries rocks that lifts the opponent into the air where the rocks hit them.

Simple technique, you're basically creating a stream of wind with your mouth which picks up rocks along the way and pushes them into them. People might try to counter this with fire, but depending on the terrain if it's something with a substance which doesn't burn easily, you can still hit them. Like the first, it's very situational; it wouldn't work on a ocean or anything.

I'm taking this a little differently than I do with my other students seeing as there isn't a "Wind Technique" like this is for the other elements. I've gone and explained how they can be used in battle, though it's better for you to practice with them, and learn what your favourite techniques are and learning new ways to use them in battle.

For this, I'd like you to rearrange these techniques in order from the techniques which are your favourite/you find most useful, to your least favourite/you find least useful in battle. I'd also like to hear why you chose this order of the techniques.

I personally do not like others to see what I’m doing or where I am at. So the use of a dust cloud can conceal things such as maybe hand seals I’m completing. I could also change my location, or launch a surprise attack. Of course I could just use a smoke bomb, but it’s not like it costs 60 chakra points to use this jutsu. The ability to change midair is also very useful. Many people will think since you’re hanging in midair you are a sitting duck, and they are probably right, so the ability to change direction would be useful. This is the most useful to me.

(Fūton: Sensougouheki) - Wind Release: Rumbling wind wall

I like this tech becauseit is extremely resourceful. If you are in danger of close range attacks and you want enemies to keep their distance. It can also be used regardless of terrain which is why I have it toward the top.

I have this toward the bottom because I personally do not like being bound by my surroundings meaning I like jutsu that can be used at ANY time regardless of the terrain. It will make me a much more difficult foe. I like this jutsu, however, because it makes enemies easier to keep up with or blinds them from your movements completely, so it sets me up for the ability to finish them off with a stronger jutsu.

This depends on terrain. I really do not care for jutsu that must have certain conditions as I would like to have an efficient jutsu that can be used regardless of terrain. I like this jutsu because it is like a two elemental attack that can’t be countered as easy as people might think.

I can see why you've gone with this sort of order. Situational techniques aren't exactly the best thing to rely on, but a lot of the time you can create the situation yourself. For example, the Wind Rock Barrage you can use an Earth technique which heavily loosens the ground, giving you more debris to use as a medium for the technique. Sometimes you can't use them, but a lot of the time they're stronger than other techniques because they can only be used at specific moments.

Alright, so this next part is a little different from traditional training also. I will provide scenarios, or situations in which you reply with what I'm asking of the situation. It'll be pretty much a simple attack launched at you, like someone would try to do in a normal battle and you provide the answer. In this case, I'll be asking you for your preferred technique to use in the situation given, and the least preferred as well, along with your reasoning as to why you've chosen them. This is more to gauge that you understand how the techniques work and proper usage of them in specific situations.

Any questions?

Yes, the aim of this is to gauge that you know the basic concept of using these techniques we're learning about in situations you might come across. It's more for basics and knowing that you know when to use whatever techniques in the situation at hand.

Also just assume this is done on a plain field with nothing special.

*A shinobi proficient in Earth techniques quickly creates a small pillar underneath your feet, pushing you into the air. Following up, he brings forth many small rocks from his arm to levitate around him, throwing them at you while in stasis.*

(Doton No Jutsu) - Earth Release Technique
Rank: D
Type: Attack/Defence
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra cost: 10
Damage Points: 20
Descripton: Creates small pillars of earth, small tools, and small shields of earth

( Doton: Iwa Rendan ) - Earth Release: Rock Barrage
Rank: D
Type: Offensive
Range: Short – Mid
Chakra cost: 10
Damage points: 20
Description: The user will concentrate their chakra into their arm and then release their chakra creating a ring of rocks that are then flung at the opponent.
So the idea is that you're in the air, forced by your opponent and then rocks are being thrown at you. Now technically you can make your move as soon as you know of the pillar emerging from your feet but for the sake of training, I want you to respond to the rocks being flung at you.
Now I'd like for you to tell me what the best jutsu would be to use in this situation, and the worst jutsu as well, along with why you chose these options.

I would use this to simply dodge the attack by changing my direction and counter with another jutsu while in the air.

Using this does me no service. If I just layer sand or dust on the rocks, and they will still come toward me.

That's what I would have chosen also. Additionally, you could have used Rumbling Wind Wall instead to blow the rocks back.

If you have no questions, I can confidently say you've finished D-Rank Wind jutsu and we can move onto the next bunch.
