Personally I think Kisame and Hidan would be entertaining to watch.

Kisame needs a real team mate. Not some failure with a disease and no intention of being evil. Deidara, Sasori or Hidan.
Deidara is a terrorist with every intention to kill when it comes to art. Hidan just kills for his religion which makes it even better. I don't wank Sasori so I know nothing about him.

Deidara and Itachi: because I recently read a very good Deidara and Sasuke fanfic but Sasuke can't be included since he's not a member of the Akatsuki when they were introduced. It would be good due to their polar opposite personalities.

Kakazu and Sasori: two immortals

Kisame and hidan: two ninjas that betrayed their village and killed their fellow shinobi

Konan and tobi: it would be amusing to see Konan annoyed by funny Tobi

Pain and zetsu; because these are the two I'm left with

Hidan and Sasori- Hidan aided by Sasori's chakra strings makes him even more dangerous
