Anyway, the big point is that this chapter sort of answered a few very small questions, but there are several other bigger plot-related issues still unresolved and this chapter only makes those worse.

Agree. What I really wanted to know was why did Kakashi kill Rin. So this chapter was a bit of a let down.

it kind of does matter ... he put the rinni in nagato before he met obito. so what was his plan b4

Whatever plan he had before he met Obito was abandoned. So maybe to others it matters, but to me I don't care at all.
