Almost got Arrested last night

Last night, me and a couple of friends went to Wal Mart with the intention of hitting it big. I mean like steal something as big as a television or something of equal worth. Well we all decided on a 20 dvds, 10 video games, one blue ray player, and a surround system for the blu ray player. The hard part was deciding on who would take it out through the front entrance. My closest friend volunteered and naturally i went with him to take out the cart. My heart was pumping when were going through the front entrance. Luckily the alarm didnt go off or anything and we got out home free (or so we thought). We were all excited and already dividing the stuff between us (me and my closest friend the hell with the others they didnt go through the entrance like we did). Well once we turned on the corner of walmart, my city's pd cut us off with their truck. A girl cop gets off and an undercover cop that was watching us the whole time appeared from behind us. Well the undercover searches my friend and the girl cop searches me for any dangerous weapons. Of course she didnt find anything and proceeds to lead to her police truck. Well she softly grabs me by my arm and I thought {**** this} and I broke free and ran like hell. there was no looking back to see if my friend had gotten away. I was hoping to give him a chance to get away you know like adiversion but i never found out what happened. I kept on running through labor fields, farms, properties, and who knows what else. One hour later my brother picked me up on the side of the road.the point is that I outran the cops especially that buff looking undercover cop and the girl cop. That was last night and Im still shaking with adrenaline. Everyone else got away too except my closest friend or not really that close anymore . My question to you (the reader), given the same circumstances where theyre searching you and about to handcuff you, what would you have done? {I dont mind any comments on my actions either just dont be too condescending}

How about be responsible and think that it would be a good idea to talk your friend out of stealing sh*t if he already has a record. There are legal ways to get thrills.

I called my city's pd and hes definately there waiting to be transffered to county jail.
