When i finished little Naruto and moved to Shippuden, i remember hearing sooo much about akatsuki and how beast they would be, and dont get me wrong, all of Akatsuki is rediculously beast! Having said that however, after seeing everything there is in the manga and anime, i believe the majority of Akatsuki was majorly trolled by Kishi. A lot of them had their power downplayed and were taken either too quickly or by various stupid means and plot no jutsu.
1.Tobi- I like how he started as this goofy,funny, kinda out-of-place character, then out of nowhere, OOOOP never mind he's a mastermind douschbag trying to take over the world, to me it was kinda random but i like Tobi so it doesnt really matter
2. Nagato- Basically the second sage of the six paths, a god among men, and the most powerful akatsuki member we've seen in the show. The invasion of Pain arc was one of my favs, the sheer level of jutsu and power all being channeled thru DEAD BODIES not even nagato was ****ing awesome! Then Naruto being the great persuader that he is, made Nagato change his ways at the drop of a dime and kill himself to save everybody he killed? I just didnt really get that, Nagato coulda killed Naruto on that last part with NO hesitation. Plot no jutsu.
3. Konan- Was shown to be highly effective and resilient in battle, i couldnt even picture her dying. Then when i saw the 600 billion explosive tags, i thought theres no way she could lose, and Uchiha bs prevailed in the form of Izanagi, which i still believe to be the most haxxxed jutsu there's been so far.
4. Itachi- One of the most interesting and powerful characters there was in Naruto, and Kishi just HAD to give him a fatal disease to kill him off easier seiing as how almost nobody could have themselves. Trolled.
5.Kisame- Ok i wont lie here, Kisame went out like a ****ing boss and we all know it haha xd
6. Kakuzu- Another character with vastly more potential than was displayed. He could of killed ino-shika-cho blindfolded and Kakashi shouldnt have been much of a problem either, but he was killed all bcuz of plot no jutsu to show off Naruto's new technique.
7. Hidan- The dude was freaking immortal! And he got taken out by one of the most pussified character ive ever seen in Shikamaru just bcuz he was smart.
8. Sasori- Dude killed the 3rd Kazekage when he was like 15, destroyed an entire NATION, and was killed by a prepubescent girl and an old hag, Pure Plot no Jutsu. Also, Sasori was majorly trolled in the war by being captured right off the bat along with Deidara.
9. Deidara- Alright, I can admit Deidara went out pretty legit, Sasuke pushed him as far as either of them could go and he died like a boss, but he was trolled in the war hardcore. He could have done so much more but was taken out almost instantly and i thought that was kinda lame
10. Zetsu- Both Black and White Zetsu are dead, but the white zetsus are all still running around, doesnt make much sense to me, but ok
and finally....
11. Sasuke- Killed half of Akatsuki to begin with (Orichimaru, Deidara, and Itachi), then joined Akatsuki, failed them when he didn't get Bee, and finally betrayed them by killing Zetsu, that is a LOT of flip-floppin for a guy like Sasuke if u ask me.
Alright, congrats to anyone who sat thru all of that lol
Don't get me wrong here, I still love the show and everything that's been done with it so far, IMO Akatsuki just didn't live anywhere near up to their full potential, ESPECIALLY in the war when they were hyped up to be an almost unstoppable army of immortals.
Any thoughts?
