I really like Minato personality and power wise. But should he eally be hyped so much sometimes? There are positives, but I have a lot if negatives about him as well.
Positives: FTG, Sage Mode, Personality, Saved the shinobi alliance twice, as well as saving Konoha, sealing the Kyuubi inside naruto, created the Rasengan, saved Kushina, great sealing techniques, became Forth Hokage, having the sperm that gave birth to naruto
Negatives: I dont remember exactly but I heard he doesnt have full control of sage mode?, didnt save obito (and we all know what happened from there), didnt save rin (made the whole obito "dying" situation worse), didnt kill obito hen he attacked Konoha, and lost both of his arms atm (but idk if naruto will be able to regenerate them for him), makes really bad jutsu names (lol)
And thats basically what I see in Minato, do you have any positive or negatives about him that I forgot about?
You have a few misconceptions in the negatives. Let me help shed some light, for the SM control thing. Minato said he wasn't good at Senjutsu because it takes long to make the chakra and he can't maintain SM for long so he never used it in actual battles

. Him having PSM (Perfect Sage Mode) means he can balance his chakra with Natural energy perfectly unlike Jiraiya but you need to be still and collect the natural energy then you can only stay in SM for 5 mins; this is exactly how Naruto's SM was in Pein arc.
So Minato's SM is where Naruto's SM was in Pein arc except Minato never used clones to help him go in SM over and over in battle. This is Naruto being told he can't use SM unless he has comrades to buy him time, he even called SM useless if he can't use it in battle. Read what Pa toad told Naruto and how Naruto called it useless

. Minato can use SM like Naruto can in Pein arc, it's just that when in battle, he is usually the main one taking on the enemies.
Why would Minato save Obito when he was fighting at the front lines? Kakashi was the jounin in charge and it was due to Rin's weakness for being captured as well, why wasn't she up there with her team? I know a medic ninja isn't suppose to take part in fights as Tsuande stated but hanging in the back is leaving her open to be attacked

. Didn't save Rin? Minato wasn't even there, he was either off on his own mission, possible met with A and Bee for the first time around that time or was with his wife on a day off or was training or was preparing to be made Hokage since he was made Hokage after Rin died. Why did Kakashi kill her instead of trying to escape with her and last as long as they can to the very end and then right before they would be capture they can kill themselves, had he waited, Obito would have made it there to help them so don't blame Minato on something he was't there for.
Minato chased Obito away but being a wise Hokage, he knew stopping the 9 tails from destroying konoha and killing more people took priority than going after Obito. He didn't even know it was Obito and he entrusted Naruto with stopping Tobi, it was one of the reasons he sealed Yang Kurama in Naruto. Minato made the right call as Hokage, Hiruzen was old and was shown having some difficulty even with backup from anbu , jounins and chunins helping him. Minato didn't know that if he let Kushina seal Kurama back into her that she would have in fact lived, she planned on resealing him to die with her but as we saw with Naruto, she would had lived but he didn't know that and wanted to protect the power balance between nations.
Minato lost 1 arm from Juubito while Hashirama's clones, Tobirama and Hiruzen had their body's destroyed and needed time to regenerate. Minato lost 1 arm against Madara (Juubi jin) while Hashirama and Tobirama were left pinned down so Minato was the only edo Hokage to receive the least amount of damage which is saying something. Sure they're all weaker as Edo tensei but it still would show how good Minato's skills are even though Kishi made him a supporter like he did with the other edo Hokages.
Minato took on Bee and A many times and he said himself he doesn't use SM in real combat so base Minato took on A and Bee more than once. Here's A saying they fought on occasions and he thought Minato would never be surpassed
