No matter what people think, every single Hokage did something wrong either directly or indirectly to the village.

Hashirama: believed peace can be attained through only love and words, without realizing there needed to be some sort of force, and failed to save Madara from falling into the darkness.

Tobirama: segregated the Uchiha and isolated them from the village, and made them the police force which caused fear of the Uchiha as the police.

Hiruzen: failed to realize it was too late to talk out things with the Uchihas, and couldn't prevent Orochimaru from leaving the village and attacking it later on.

Minato: couldn't protect his student who later on attacked the village and again Minato failed to stop, as well as being unable to protect his own family.

Tsunade: didn't help stop Oro from attacking the village, failed to keep the village safe from Pain's attack, and couldnt stop Madara with the help of the other Kage.

In the end they all made mistakes, but the one with the least faults was Minato, because he protected the Leaf Village well and created the least amount of problems.

I don't agree about Tsunade. She saved the village. I mean, what's the village - the people or the buildings? As long as the people are alive, the buildings can be rebuilt, and she did keep most of them alive, the other ones were resurrected by Nagato and we're cool.. :)

Well once he's Hokage of course.

Nah, the only one who messed up was the 1st. And want every clan separate in its own way regardless where they were, so why would placement matter. The 1st should of killed madra the first time he had a chance and saved every one a bunch of crap.

Hashi's decision effected every ones future. There would have been no obito, pein, or even akutski.

I disagree with the Hashirama part. He did everything he possibly could to save Madara from the darkness and created the village himself

Tsunade has never failed in her moral duty as Hokage. Not once.

There was no better ninja to take her place so there she was, and she saved the people of the village. She did a great job against Madara.

You're wrong on almost everything.
Hashirama did believe in force, he just didn't like using it. He killed Plenty of Uchiha in the wars. He also did stop Madara. By Killing him.

Minato wasn't in charge of Obito then, Kakashi was, Minato was busy soling a war. He also chose to save the entire village while Kushina and him sacrificed themselves.

Tsunade wasn't even in the village then, let alone Hokage. Also she did protect the village from ST, saving a majority of the lives.

Tsunade is the only Hokage that does not have the ability to prevent Chou ST.

It's not fair in Minato's case.

It's already been established that most of it was planned by Madara behind Minato's back. He barely had control over it and actually still saved Kakashi and Rin from the attackers.

Umm yeah... Minato cannot be in two places at once, he gave his orders, they failed to move on with the mission and put their own feelings in front of the goal, he could not possibly know what was going on, and Kakashi was a Jonin as well as Minato, so in fact the moment they split up, Minato was no longer responsible for them, it was Kakashi's responsibility. So Obito's "Death" was not Minato's fault but Kakashi's

1. Kakashi was the leader and also Jonin.
2. Minato has also his job and he is not a baybsitter....he was the strongest Konoha Shinobi at that time and was a little bit busy to solo the war U_U
3. He saved Kushina the other thing it was her decision to jump beetwen Naruto and Kurama's attack. He saved two times Naruto at that situation U_U
4.What does his family do with his job as Hokage lol ? Nothing...........

You are kidding me U_U He could't protect Konoha from Obito and Kurama really ?

And there are no other Hokage candidates at that time who could've stopped Pain.

That's not Tsunade's fault. She made no *mistake*.

None at all, heck even if hashi was there it'd be entirely too late to stop pain from almighty pushing all the buildings/shinobi.
Regardless of how much power he had, if pain was to just hover over the leaf and do that it'd already be over for the village/shinobi.

It never gets old that one would think someone could think anyone of the hokage would be able to sense him and stop him fast enough from doing something that requires a split second whilst over 40 meters in the air....

The smart thing to do was take out Pain before he could do major damage to the village, instead she chose to heal fodders.

Yeah, but by Pain destroying the structure of the village the villagers lost faith in their Hokage until Naruto showed up (but Tsunade knew Naruto was going to save everyone, but only she knew).

Nah, they didn't lose faith at all. I mean, Choza even hyped her during the war, hinting that Tsunade was the strongest of the sannin.

The smart thing to do was take out Pain before he could do major damage to the village, instead she chose to heal fodders.

Even the civilians matter to the hokage. It's their job to keep them alive.
Tsunade had too much faith in Konoha's ninjas since she thought they could keep them at bay until Naruto arrival.
Danzo ruined Tsunade's plan to summon Naruto to Konoha though. :|

Danzo is the one to blame for most bad things that happened during his life time.
