Wow, all of you mumbo jumbo retarbricks keep bashing Naruto.. Why ? The manga is over. Why so much anger inside of you ?
Let's make it clear.
First. Naruto never wanted to kill Sasuke in fights.
Second. Sasuke always tried to kill Naruto in fights.
Middle: Have you ever tried to fight someone with just your palm while the other guy would just punch you in the face with his own fists ? This is a nerf in real life and for Naruto as well who held back at every fight against Sasuke.
Not acknowledging this proves how much real life experience you have. Just because you play cool of daaty and get some kill streaks doesn't make you a war hero and more so it doesn't make you a FIGHTING OR WAR EXPERT. So STOP being so goddamn superficial and get more dense in your connections to this world.
1. Remember the Bridge where Sasuke killed Danzo ? Remember the Rasengan vs Chidori ? Where did Sasuke end up after that clash ? ---- Sasuke fans will say that Sasuke was tired after Danzo. Well, so was Naruto after fighting the entire war, fighting Madara, fighting kages, fighting Kaguya and finally fighting a barely worn out Sasuke.
2. Naruto fights for like 3 days and 2 nights in the war while Sasuke barely fights for one night against Madara, Kaguya and Naruto.
2.1. In the the last fight vs Sasuke. Naruto was worn out and was still holding back so that he won't hurt Sasuke.

So, let's stop the character bashing because there is no point to bash a character when the writer himself said they are equals. Which is obviously not true since a worn out-holding back Naruto managed to get an equal vs a barely worn out 9bijuufresh chakra Sasuke.
Kishi saying that they are equal was just to stop your butthurts and keep you peaceful.
