Can itachi truly have potential to be number one in all, besides rikudo?
lets recap
he has low chakra reserves, yes we know this.
However... what makes him in my opinion the most deadliest is that he does not even have to physical touch you, and in the end. he was a master of something that other's including Madara may have not mastered.
Izanami, it sacrifices one eye permanently. however, it is so powerful it could literally trap someone forever in the genjutsu world of his choosing, and it usually revolves of changing someones destiny and fate. lets couple this with the possibility that he may have access to the Izanagi. so he may have two of the most powerful kekkie genkai technqiues in the entire narutoverse.
then lets add the fact of the Yata mirror, and its supposed invulnerability and unbreakable. the only way to counter this is to get behind Itachi
however, we know he's too damn smart not to realize this, and if he gets there then... your dead.
Then the Totsuka blade... there is nothing to counter it, you can't touch it, you can't absorb it, you can't even get a scratch by it. it will take your soul and seal it away forever.
I am Naruto fan boy, A Madara fan boy, and Nagato fan boy.
even i admit, given time to prepare himself, he could easily beat Naruto, and Nagato. Madara is the IF case, IF madara uses PS then it is without a doubt that he can stay out of the
Totsuka swords reach.
however lets talk alive Madara, Nagato, and Naruto.
How much chakra does the PS require? it must be massive, because a regular Susanoo is like killing Itachi chakra in seconds, and Sasuke is seen to only hold for minutes, so with PS it must be with time to prep it.
over all, power wise Itachi is not the most powerful
Nor is he the strongest.
However... in a one on one fight... you must... YOU MUST consider the possibility that he can counter you in all aspects.
the only people i can see taking him out in prime, and without the disease
BM Naruto (he can easily get behind Itachi, but if he gets touched with Totsuka game set match)
Madara (Same thing with Naruto, and even he can't go head on head with Itachi with the risk of the sealing sword)
Obito???? (I wonder if Totsuka can still affect him even if he is fades out of the dimension? cause if it can then he is off the list)
Kakashi (If he can get a hit with Kamui, and if Yata Mirror can't handle Space/time Ninjutsu)
Gaara (He can stay out of reach, and can take Itachi from something that he's not used too... long range.)
Minato: (With KM then there is a chance, though slim... Minato fans, i love minato, but he's no god, he's no uber powered ninja that can just beat out anyone.)
