That didn't help Ay or Bee when they fought him on reputation alone. ]). This is a guy who was directly told to avoid Minato in war. That, and you'd have to prove that he'd know Minato is able to tag whatever he touches, which is a completely different aspect to using a Kunai.

Speculation is pointless. You'd have to prove he knows about his jutsu, as opposed to his reputation, which you can't do.

To be fair, Ay rushing at anyone means nothing, he just was overconfident he was the fastest man and even Minato wouldn't be able to do anything, while Kisame is not on the same position. Tho i think you're right with Kisame not going with WD from the start.

Only one debatable is Itachi.

Kisame's actually rather intelligent in a general sense taking into consideration of Obito's confidence in Kisame's expertise in espionage and obtaining information which is equivalent to Orochimaru's confidence in Kabuto due to his mental acuity. However, an essential trait to consider is Kisame's arrogance which is explicitly shown in combat situations where Kisame, in spite of acknowledging Kakashi's fame and prestige opted for a direct confrontation which resulted in Itachi being forced to scold him and conceptualize the situation. We're even shown that Kisame was warned about Gai's Taijutsu before-hand and explicitly has first-hand experience dealing with it yet still engaged in a direct confrontation with Gai whilst knowing the risks by doing so.

Kisame could initiate Waterdome at the start of the battle, but I'm doubtful given Kisame's typical behavior in the midst of battle.

With that being said, Minato would likely clear everyone with the exception of Itachi.

Kisame and itachi beat'em, and deidara has a chance when he goes air bourne from the distance, I don't see minato stopping c4 karura, nor can he tag deidara who is a long as range fighter
