So Bruce Wayne's insane and the "villains" are stage actor friends of Alfred's he persuaded into helping his nut job billionaire benefactor cope with his parents death and Alfred is the big bad baddy of them all.

before anyone tries to drop some knowledge, I know this isn't a canon storyline but it's fun to discuss and I'm curious how many people will just run with this as fact, sense it's not 100% made up, I guess you could say it's a test in fact checking.

Comics have different continuity and different stories depending on the author. This is just one interpretation of it. The Joker has various origin stories.

This is like the GT of DC, it was a hypothetical side story that the authors enjoyed writing about. Think of them as alternate realities.

Unfortunately, just like GT, it didn't receive much friendly criticism at the time.

It's part of the of "What ever happened to (x)" series if you all are interested in more of these.
