I don't cling but nature will not be denied, God is creative, he created this world of balance, I don't think he did that through two naked people in a field and how do we explain animals, they evolved. God created them.

What I was saying is that people say "Why is there misery in the world if there is a God" my answer is that life is a lesson, human beings learn through strife, otherwise we become selfish creatures, so if God had created a paradise for us, he would have 7 billion brats on his hands and that would have been no good.

Course. Makes way more sense than man simply being a product of time, chance and natural law from where I'm standing. Biggest joke is that according to most of those the Big Bang is virtually impossible.

In the beginning God created xx/yy seems way more credible than;

In the beginning there was dust, and some sort of flaming ball of mass, and lots and lots of time, and virtually nonexistent chance, and then order came from chaos- wait what?

swap the word alien with God and you have the creationistic stance on this "debate"

one side claims something while having abselutely no proof to back it up, yet, they have chosen to believe it anyway.

the other side chose to look around, gathered evidence, and made a conclution from the evidence, that would explain what we found.

and then you have people claiming, I'm gonna believe what i want. (sure go ahead, but I won't change the fact that what you believe in, is in no way justifed and it goes against every single piece of information we have ever found...)

It makes sense to me that we evolved from a primitive form of life and Charles Darwin proved his theory that is widely accepted and only remains a controversial concept for some theists. How did life came to be and how the Universe was created on the other hand is another issue and it is still a mistery. I do believe in God but Im not that much religious so I think the most reasonable side is the one that actually has evidence and presents facts. God is just there to fill the empty spaces still left to uncover and as a way to make us go through life believing in something that explains our purpose here.


Edit: Im not American but the Evolution Theory should always make part of science books and be taught in schools since it's a fact.

I remember my teacher hated my guts cause I told her that evolutoin is just a theory when she was trying to tell the whole class it was 100% fact then claimed I was just any other bible thumping person,when at the time I hardly read the bible or believed in God.

I bet she would have been even more pissed off if she found out that Piltdown Man was a hoax.

Actually there is no evidence against it. 98% of scientists believe in it. Yes it is a theory, however all the evidence says it is true we just can't personally see it happen. Creationism on the other hand has no evidence and has been proven false several times over.

The warning seemed reasonable.... until the bottom third of the paragraph. Those added questions are very unprofessional and suggest bias of the writer.... meaning they don't believe in evolution. Sounds straight out of the south, god-fearing and intolerant. Downright ridiculous.

So apparently, the state of Alabama has put up warnings on their science books about the theory of Evolution. And apparently, this is something that has sparked up quite a bit of controversy.

Specifically, this is what they say.

I can't believe I ****ing live here.
*sighs* It does tell kids to keep an open mind, which is the one thing I could agree on.
However, saying,"It should be regarded as a theory" really annoys me. As it does all of the scientific community. (A "theory" in science is: a well-substantiated explanation of some aspect of the natural world that is acquired through the scientific method and repeatedly tested and confirmed through observation and experimentation.) Using the word theory as if it makes the topic any less fact than it is, is ignorant. Denying theories as a whole is ignorant. Yes, if new information comes to light, we will rethink theories and reword them. Or sometimes, we throw them away entirely. They are our understanding (to the best of our ability relative to our current knowledge) of the natural world.

all evolution is the explenation to how life adapt/change/evolve/mute (pick the words you like the best really) after it came in to existence, how life did that have nothing to do with evolution.

It will never be able to exlain the beginning of life/how life came from none life, and it was never ment to, hence why it never will.
