Akuhei has short, red hair and brown eyes, which are usually open very wide. His skin is fair and smooth, except for a scar across his chest . His body isn't very muscular, but he is lean and lithe, which allows him to be very flexible.
Attire: Akuhei wears a long red cape, with his hitai-ate sewn into the fabric, which is normally tied together at the top and held together with a clasp on the inside, with a plain, white short-sleeved shirt underneath and a bandage around his right forearm. He also wears a pair of black pants with several pockets to hide various objects. He wears plain black ninja shoes on his feet.
Personality: Akuhei is extremely unstable and only speaks to his puppets, unless a situation demands otherwise. He also believes himself to be an evil god stuck in a human's body, which can be quite annoying or irritating to some people, due to his accompanying large ego. If someone manages to attract his attention, it is normally either a good-looking woman, or someone who shows themself to be very powerful.
Although he might appear almost playful at times, Akuhei is actually quite violent in combat, and won't hesitate to kill or maim someone. Although he will often attack his opponent with his puppet, he never uses his puppet for the finishing blow, and will instead kill the opponent himself, and never changes the method he uses to kill his victims.
The only things Akuhei really cares deeply about are his puppets, although he does have the capacity to care for some people. If one of his puppets is even touched by someone other than himself, he becomes fiercly angered and will attack the person, though he might not kill the person if he considers them a friend.
Akuhei occasionally suffers from paranoia and schizophrenia, and will sometimes have "visions" of his "master", which is actually a physical representation of his intent to kill as many people as he can. Every time he has one of these "visions", he becomes immobile and often falls to his knees in reverence, then appears to have a seizure, though he often recovers quickly. After he recovers from his seizure, he is much more aggresive and easy to anger, though after an hour or two, he goes back to his mostly-playful nature.
He often sings lullabies and children songs, partly to remind himself of the time before his parents were murdered and partly to confuse and scare his opponents into submission.

Background Info.
History: Akuhei was born in the ninja village of Konohagakure to a pair of ninja parents who were not quite loyal to the Hokage. His parents would often help any ninjas who did not agree with the kage's actions, either with food and shelter or an escape from the village.
Childhood and Academy Arc: When Akuhei reached the age of twelve, he joined the academy in Konohagakure, and received some private training from his father, who was considered an efficient, but merciful ninja. After only a year in the academy, Akuhei came home one afternoon to see his father killed by what appeared to be a Konohagakure shinobi, who had apparantly been given the task of finding and killing the ninja who had been helping ninjas escape the village without the Kage's permission. His mother was already dead, her head chopped off her neck roughly, and the ninja was only just starting to take off the father's head when Akuhei had walked in. The ninja used a special jutsu that only partially wiped his memory and also knocked him out. When Akuhei came to, he found himself in an orphanage, but with the memory of someone killing his parents. His mind filled in the blanks for him and made him believe that a he himself had killed his own parents, causing him to slowly grow insane, though he managed to finish the academy before his insanity manifested itself.
Genin Arc: Soon after finishing the Academy and gaining his own ninja headband, Akuhei was contacted by a certain Konohagakure ninja who had seen promise in the young ninja. With the ninja, Akuhei betrayed Konohagakure by killing his other two teammates and his jounin sensei, using a puppet he had made from the trees surrounding Konoha. After each death, Akuhei had used a kunai to slice off each head and place it next to the body, in a gruesome imitation of his parents' corpses.
After several days of harsh travelling, the ninja brought Akuhei to Sunagakure, where he helped train Akuhei in the use of his puppetry techniques. He no longer claims any ties to his family or to Konohagakure.
