Akatsuki's Day Off (Chapter 3)

Deidara's and Sasori's perspective the next day...

Surprisingly, it is quite peaceful as the immature, hot-headed teen Deidara and the mature, reserved Sasori walk their way. However, the silence is later broken (alas!) by one of Deidara's inquiries:

Deidara: So, you want to go to a land mine with me? You'll realize what real art is once we get there and the bombs go off.

Sasori's emotionless face morphs to an annoyed look.

Sasori (thoughts): He just has to irk me, doesn't he?

Sasori: What kind of question is that? No, I don't want to go and act like an idiot with you.

Deidara: How would that be stupid?

Sasori: It just is. I don't need to explain it.

Deidara: I bet you can't even explain why.

Sasori: No, it's just that it's not worth it to discuss trash. A waste of time.

Deidara: Hmf.

Sasori: If only you'd realize what art is in its purest, most beautiful form.

Deidara: Which would be it's beginning... which was nothing... hence an explosion!

Sasori: No... It's when it lasts. You don't know a thing about it.

Deidara: That's not true.

Sasori: It is. You're not an artist.

Deidara: What would I have to do to prove that I am?

Sasori: Allow something to last for more than 5 minutes at least.

Deidara's voice grows to be sarcastic.

Deidara: Hahaha. Nice joke, master Sasori.

Sasori: It's no joke. Just fact. One you'll have to accept if you want to take art seriously.

Deidara: My art is serious.

Sasori: You don't have art. You've literally got nothing to show.

Deidara: Incorrect.

Sasori: No, correct. You erase your art itself with those petty explosives of yours. There's literally nothing left in the end!

Deidara: At least my art is valuable. People have to look at it in order to not miss it. Meanwhile, yours is around for all eternity and gathers dust.

Sasori: I could ruin you now and show you what real art is. You'd make a nice addition to my collection.

Deidara: Nah, I'd rather blow myself up in one final artistic statement than be a useless doll, un. Anyway, there's an art museum around the corner.

Sasori: Yeah, you changed the subject. Either way, yeah let's go and check it out.

The two artists with their disparities round the corner and make it to the museum. They go inside and discuss the various forms of art ( Fine Art, Visual Art, Decorative Art, Applied Art, Crafts), they reference it all. Or, rather argue over it.
