People don't seem to know about it, so I'll post.
There's a rumor that everytime an Akatsuki take out or lose his cape, he dies not long after.
- Sasori. He took out his cape (ch271, p8):
Four chapters after, he's dead (ch275, p11):
- Hidan. His cape is partially destroyed by Asuma (ch323, p15):
But because it was just partially destroyed, he ''dies'' sixteen chapters after (ch339, p2):
- Kakuzu. Here he took out his cape to free his masks (ch334, p6):
Then he dies seven chapters after (ch341, p15):
- Deidara. Loses cape here (ch359, p3):
Then he dies three chapters after (ch362, p15):
- Itachi. Loses cape here, when faced Kirin (ch391, p13):
Then dies here, two chaps after (ch393, p14):
- Pain. Loses part of the cape against Six Tails Naruto TBB (ch438, p13):
"Dies" four chapters after (ch442, p16):
About Konan...well, I think she was the only one to die with the cape :shrug:
- Kisame. Took out the cape against Bee (ch471, p14):
Because of the fake Kisame death and that stuff, he only dies here, thirty-seven chapters after (ch508, p10):
