Kakuzu is one of the low level people. Konan, Kisame, Itachi, Obito, Nagato all have higher powerscale techniques.

Exactly why I made this thread... I myself believe that Kakuzu can beat Kisame and Konan.

Kakuzu cannot tank Totsuka Blade. That Blade has ethereal priorities. It doesn't matter how hard you are.

Does anyone even know what ethereal actually MEANS? No. It basically means it can't be countered ever and it is the ultimate perfect technique. Kishi writing for ya.

I agree that Kisame is underrated, but after reading Negative Knight's Kakuzu > Kisame thread I started believing that Kakuzu can win.

Oh i'm not trying to argue with you, it's just that Itachi is a ridiculously OP character and it's Kishimoto's fault. Itachi is literally superman, he has whatever abilities the writer needs him to have at the time and has no obvious limits. I just hate Itachi fanboys thinking they are geniuses for ending a debate with 'Totsuka blade lol instant win kills fodder' when nobody really knows what ethereal even means.

And yes I know the definition but that still doesn't make it any clearer what it's actually capable and incapable of. The iron armour stands a good chance of rendering it useless if it wasn't for the fact that Kishi can have Itachi win any fight he wants.

He fought Hashirama and required 5 people + one of the biggest pnj to kill him
He's obviously not fodder
but Itachi would win because Kakuzu can't counter his genjutsu and totsuka blade

-If he gets too close Tsukuyomi one shots him. Tsukuyomi can only be broken by one of Uchiha blood and obviously Kakuzu isn't of Uchiha blood so if he makes eye contact its over, he isn't escaping.

-Amaterasu appears where the user sight is focused on and when focused it will burn the target up in a matter of seconds just like it did to Danzo. Kakuzu isn't countering this.

-Kakuzu's attacks are nowhere near strong enough to get past Itachi's lvl 2 Susanoo let alone Yata Mirror, which CAN cover all of Susanoo making all of Kakuzu's attacks moot as Yata will simply change elements and nullify the attack.

Stamina won't be an issue since Kakuzu won't even last anywhere near as long as Sasuke did against Itachi.

I've always thought about it and I would make only 2 changes to the Naruto manga and they're both about the Akatsuki.

1. Kakazu, Sasori & Deidara all survived their battles and survived til the end with Obito & Zetsu. They realise that after Pain's death, Tobi is not who he says he is and they realise they are being used. The three team up to form a coup d'état but end up being defeated by 'Madara'. They go rogue and surprise attack during the final battle.

2. Itachi & Kisame both go rogue during the timeskip. This makes Itachi more mysterious and gives a massive hint to the whole 'not actually evil' reveal, the other Akatsuki are hunting them, this would make both of them more likeable, less OP and have more depth. They'd also be out of the picture for most of Shippuden.

But no, Kishimoto introduces all these amazing ninja with all these abilities and kills them all off for fun. He suddenly realises that these 2 random akatsuki members (itachi & tobi) will be the only ones worth a damn and forgets that the others guys even happened. All of the Akatsuki had so much more potential.

Yeah exactly. In the old Naruto Akatsuki was such a mysterious group, but in the Naruto Shippuden they get so much hype (especially Sasori) and then end up being killed after their 2nd battle. Zetsu's death was stupid also.
