Sasori was just outmatched half the fight. He was going up against his teacher and a jounin. Even if he let himself die at the end, he still got outplayed and outwit the entire fight.
Konan was up against obito. Obito's just a massive plot shielded character. Konan would have never won that match. She could have survived izanagi and made obito blind himself in both eyes, but kishi would suddenly write in that obito has susano'o or oil or some shit to make him win/survive.
Deidara, itachi, and kisame all had decent deaths.
Kakuzu and pain were just eh... it's because they were up against the main character anyway.

Not really. I thought it was cool each of them died not wearing their cloaks, Konan aside. Shows how they reverted back to their original selves at the moment of death. Pretty clever by Kishi. I only hate Hidan and Kakazu weren't given a great build up like Sasori and Deidra.
