I was speaking for everyone who actually READS the manga.

Anyways true in terms of good/great Leader Yahiko > Obito, but the series needs a villain so in terms of evil villain Obito > Yahiko!

Both have their own role to play.

However, from the flashback we know its not the truth. Yahiko had told Obito to leave them alone. But then Obito whispered this to Nagato:

coincidencely.. shortly after that Yahiko is killed.... And then of course Obito comes in. Plus, Yahiko already suspected Obito was just planning to use them, thats why he told him to leave them alone.

But Akatsuki stood for peace through love and understanding. =D
