If I'm not mistaken, wasn't Gaara the person who found Deidara in the village?

Sasori and Diedara were only able to get in the village because of a spy.I don't see them doing much without a spy.Diedara also ost an arm and had to go to destroying the village route to force Gaara to protect it.Somehow, I see that battle ending differently if it was an all out fight instead of capture Gaara.

Even if there was no spy, Deidara would fly over the shinobis anyway. I can't see anyone being able to fight Deidara in the air except for Gaara.

True, Sasori won't be able to sneak past but he can kill the shinobis with the 3rd Kazekage puppet, or if needs be, the 100 puppets. Plus, he has the white zetsus too.

As for your last statement, this is just speculation; he might have done things differently, he might have not. Personally, I still think that he would have still tried to use "the destroy the village route" to force Gaara to protect it. After all, it's not like the Akatsuki really care about the village and we don't know how honourable they are in battle.

Therefore, I still think Akatsuki will win.

The Leaf would have Jiraiya and Tsunade fighting side by side.Jiraiya was able to take out three of pains body so with Tsunade and the other Jonin it would be a easier victory.Unless of course pain goes shinra tensei which I don't see any defense for.

Jiraiya is the only one I can see that might give the leaf village a victory. He did defeat three pains, but this was without the deva pain fighting. However, I must concede that in this situation, Jiraiya will have the whole village fighting with him.

Still, as you say, the Deva Pain can still do a massive Shinra Tensei which would kill the majority of the shinobis alone. And then it's really only Jiraiya and Tsunade left and no Naruto this time. It will not be a easy battle.

I still think Akatsuki will win here, but I admit it will be tough.

Hidan and Kakuzu would die with ease.The strongest military might of the five nation is not losing to and idiot Hidan and a walking Corpse.A,B, Darui,C, Dodai would all be too much for them.And that not even counting on all the other shinobis in the village.

Kisame and Itachi has the best chance at a win, but I still see it as a lost.Both of their style is best used for one on one combat.They are likely to do some damage, but in the end they would die.

Not sure if it's really true if they're used for one on one combat. I can see where you're coming from but consider this:

Kisame's chakra levels are equivalent to tailed beasts. We've already seen him summon tons of water in the desert alone. Think how much he could summon in the mist village, this jutsu alone would be deadly to many of the shinobis.

Itachi has Susanoo to protect him from multiple attacks, and he can use Amaterasu to take out many shinobis at once. I admit though, that this really depends on whether he can do all of this without going blind, we are assuming full strength here so there is a chance that he could.

I still think Akatsuki can win.

Tobi and Black Zetsu would die the easiest unless they both escape which is what they are good at.At the beginning of the series Tobi didn't have the rinnegan or the path so the only jutsu we know he had was Space–Time Migration.We saw him lose an arm when taking on Torune and Fū and they didn't look half as impressive as the Tsuchikage's granddaughter Kurotsuchi and his body guard Akatsuchi.Black Zetsu is much of a fighting seeing how he got cut down by Chojuro.

Black Zetsu, yeah he would get pwned, there is no doubt about that. Not sure about Tobi though.To be honest, he is still a complete mystery that I don't know if we have seen his true combat capabilities. That's why I'm going to say this is a "don't know".

The Akatsuki would not only have to take down the shinobi you know, but all the other shinobi in the villages.

Not sure what you mean here, you mean the villages not from the five great nations? That is irrelevant to this thread, as we are only concerned about the five nations.

If the Akatsuki could have taking down any of the five hidden villages in the way described by the op, they would have.It's simply not possible.

The Akatsuki were not interested in destroying villages, they were interested in capturing Jinchuurikis. Regardless, this is a hypothetical battle thread, where we are not so concerned about why they didn't attack the villages beforehand.

In Short:

Leaf, Sand, Mist - Still Akatsuki will win
Cloud - Village win
Stone - Don't know, but if you want, I'll say village win.

Akatsuki wins overall for me.
