One could argue what I state is only in a singularity, but I believe there is a bigger picture.

For one, the hooded Akatsuki man sent Shin to "test Sasuke Uchiha". He says it himself "You're impressions on Uchiha Sasuke?" and Shin replies "He is powerful ...Incredibly...Powerful"

> Let's be honest in the ninja world. I wonder if people realize just how powerful the name Sasuke is (without including anyone else right now).

Killed Orochimaru a Sannin at 16
Killed Itachi who massacred the Uchiha clan alone
Killed Deidara who is an Akatsuki Member
Attacked the Kage(s) at the GoKage summit and survived
Killed Danzo who was the upcoming Hokage
Fought the Juubi, and Juubi Jin Obito in the War
Fought Madara in the War
Fought Kaguya in the war (Not sure if they know this though, I'm assuming no, but I want to list it before some fapper gets on me)

^
These are literally what regular people know about Sasuke, even if it is not true. We as the readers know the truth, but that does not really mean normal shinobi, and people do too.

Taking into this account, you would not really need to test out his "power" or "skill" in battle. Which leads me to believe that Shin Uchiha, obviously knows nothing about the current world, nor its past events. Obviously making him "new" into this world, naive to its secrets, and knows nothing aside from what his master tells him. Funny enough I wanted to find out what Shin actually meant, and this is what I found out:
Shin can be written using different kanji characters and can mean:

真, "true"
伸, "extend"
新, "new"
心, "heart"
信, "belief"
進, "progress"
慎, "humility"
晋, "advance"
紳, "gentleman

Take that for what you will, some of those words I found interesting. Next, is the hooded figure. Some may argue that he is the leader of his organization, but I beg to differ. Anyone who would send a weak test subject to actually fight Sasuke is actually not quite right in the head either. Which means that the hooded figure is probably on the same level as Shin, but slightly better. It wouldn't make much sense for him to be this slowly, hidden threat, and for him to not have knowledge on this world and the past. If so, he would have realized that Sasuke is indeed one of the strongest people in this world, and I'm sure it is no secret that Sasuke has the Rinnegan. He really did not keep it hidden in Chapter 699.

My personal theory:
Someone created these two, and possibly more, which is why Shin says "summoned the entire cast" and leaked information onto them. So maybe if this figurehead is Shisui, the real leader is someone who is pulling the strings from behind. Similar to how Obito was actually controlling the Akatsuki, and Madara was controlling him.

Who is behind this? None other than Orochimaru. Before I state why this is so, Kishimoto made an interview, where he stated that Sarada was the MC of the Gaiden and that Boruto was the MC of his movie, and towards the end of the interview someone asked him who was the final villain. He did not say anything, but he played the Orochimaru OST. Hinting what has been said for a while, or at least circulating. Now back onto my theory -

Orochimaru possibly may have found Shisui and revived his body somehow (Or experimenting garbage plot blah blah), leaked information or twisted information about Sasuke, Itachi, and the Uchiha massacre. Now these people are being lead on this false understanding of what isn't true, which is why they attacked Sasuke, and which is why they are going after his daughter (for what-ever reason it is connected to Sasuke which is why he clearly stated bring "HIS" daughter, so it has nothing to do with her presently).

Now you may be asking why would Orochimaru do this? You see there are ulterior motives to everything, and Orochimaru is a character of mystery. We know little to nothing about him, but his obsession with the Uchiha and Sharingan is a canon fact. Whether he is testing his test subjects to gain data, or for pure pleasure, it does not really matter. He was never a good character to begin with (not saying he was born evil though).

Which directly correlates with the original Akatsuki, in how Yahiko, Konan, and Nagato believed it was created in an effort to fight against the tyranny and oppression that their home village Amegakure ... But in truth they were being manipulated early on, especially Nagato whom Madara implanted the Rinnegan when he was a child. Not going to mention the future details in how they were used to bring the full worth of the Akatsuki through the death of Yahiko and the awakening of "Pain".

Now to end this theory, one of the people who caught my eye so far is Mitsuki. I don't really like the guy for a few reasons:

I. He was stated by Sarada or ChouChou to have recently joined the village, from a place they did not mention. Then afterwards he quickly befriends Boruto and follows him like his lab dog. Before you correct me on my usage of that word, it is clearly how I see it -- Boruto seems to be the leader in their relationship.

Boruto: Hmph ... Mitsuki, let's go...

Then we have the fact that Mitsuki, a new addition to the Konoha population, seems to have knowledge on clan(s) of the Leaf Village. Noting both Chou CHou was an Akamichi, and Sarada who wears the Uchiha crest. It is not that strange for me, or anyone to believe that there is not a good feeling when you have his presence in the chapter/panel. His dialogue, what he knows, and who he picks as friends seems to be intentional. Everything Kishimoto is doing he is letting it out there, you just have to be open minded to see it. Kishimoto is the master of parallels, but he is also the master at tricking the readers too.

You might also state that "Why would Kishimoto just repeat the same thing" -- Well what is new about the Gaiden series thus far? If Kishimoto wanted to breath life into this manga, and give it a new air about it, he would have never introduced the same conflicts, same Uchiha type villains, and there are more to come I'm sure of it. End

Hope you enjoyed the thread.

...but everyone has a theory like that... lol?
what makes yours so special?
Did I state I was the only one who made this theory o_O?

Honestly I haven't read any theories on the subject matter yet.

Nice theory.

Although I do believe the leader is aware of Sasuke's powers and wanted Shin to see for himself.

I also think Orochimaru or the leader took away the corpses of the juubi clones and possibly Madara's legs.

I mean orochimaru did something like this so there's no telling what he has planned:

He also has plenty of things he could have taken from the battlefield:

Agreed. Though if the leader really wanted to test Sasuke's power, I don't think realistically he would have expected him to return. Plot or what-ever aside, Amentojikara solos.

Yea this is like my exact thought, I mean I don't understand how could people not realize that Sasuke are well known to the shinobi world, that guy with the stitch was obviously being experimented knowing that his sharingan is active the whole time similar to Danzo or Kakashi which leads to believe he had his eyes transplanted. I also believe these Uchiha are related to the white Zetsu or Juubi experimented.

Notice the guy in the Hood who was standing the stump of the tree was in fact the god tree which it looks like it has reminicent of Spiral zetsu and you know the whole Yamato and mokuten stuff all ties to Orochimaru.

Furthermore, the whole mastermind have always been rehashes as it was shown that Pain who was used by Tobi who turned out to be Obito who was used by Madara who was used by the True Mastermind aka Black Zetsu.

Sasuke even got mindf*cked into destroying the Leaf due to Itachi sacrificial. So of course the same thing apply to Shin and that hooded guy

It's possible he anticipated Sasuke wouldn't immediately try to kill Shin.

He sighed before engaging Shin so i'm guessing he's used to rogues or foolish bandits attacking him.

That combined with the shock of such a unamed uchiha would have been enough for Shin to escape.

The guy who makes threads like this in his free time:

don't make it seem like OP came up with all of this :l
It's not that hard to make a theory out of what's happened so far

That's why everybody has a theory about this already
And what he made isn't something I haven't read before

BTW,

Could be an interesting way of seeing it, though I would think Sasuke would at least try to capture him. Especially since he wore the Uchiha insignia, and had the Sharingan. I know Kishimoto wrote those panels in an attempt so that Sasuke himself can be prepared, and for him to contact Naruto.

Though you would think the leader would pull at least more than one regular Uchiha experiment with 3T against a grown Uchiha male who is Rikudou enhanced.

I honestly don't know why you are coming onto my thread and hating, or stating that I claimed this theory to be my own and my own only.

Didn't I already tell you that I have not read much theories on it so far? I've been preoccupied, and one of those things in the link I showed you before.

I made a theory long ago about how Orochimaru would try to recreate Shinju and absorb it to match the power of a juubi jin.

Shinju was said to be created the blood of countless men, so it is something that can be made.

I believe Shin might be an experiment closely tied to this, which would explain his lack of vocabulary, and the sharingan.

The reason I say this is because he reminds me of Obito when he first became a Juubi Jin, and lacked cognitive reasoning.

Nope, he didn't kill him in the slightest. Itachi actually killed him.

Killed Itachi who massacred the Uchiha clan alone
Itachi literally set it up for he would die at Saskue's hands. So no matter what would have happened, Sasuke would have been let to win.

Killed Deidara who is an Akatsuki Member
Deidara blew himself up

Attacked the Kage(s) at the GoKage summit and survived
Only really survived, as Tobi saved him from Dust Release

Killed Danzo who was the upcoming Hokage
Danzo killed himself

Fought the Juubi, and Juubi Jin Obito in the War
Fought Madara in the War
Fought Kaguya in the war (Not sure if they know this though, I'm assuming no, but I want to list it before some fapper gets on me)
Can't really fault you there. He did fight against them.

Vitvol did you read what I said? I was talking in the perspective of the normal shinobi/person who didn't know the truth like us readers of the manga.

Nice theory. It would be interesting to finally see what Orochimaru has been up to all this time. I always found it odd how he simply became redundant after his revival and was only "following Sasuke's wind", he must have had some sort of ulterior motive.

This organization indeed seems to be solely focused on getting Sasuke, and yes they appear to be controlled, if Orochimaru is behind this then it will all make sense.

Orochimaru always saw potential in Sasuke, and stated that he will eventually surpass even Madara. So what if he allowed things to pan out because he knew that Sasuke will reach very far, eventually achieving Rinnegan and Rikudou power. And now he is once again preparing to finish what he originally started, to gain control of Sasuke's now ultimate body, putting him ever so closer to achieving his dream of true immortality and knowledge of all jutsu.
