Akatsuki members aren't that strong.

Sasori defeated 3rd Kazekage -that makes him Kage level
Kisame had the power of a beast ... and he controlled it perfectly -that makes him kage level
Hidan was immortal - he can fight with any kage if they don't have the intel over his ability
Kakuzu was a monster .. master of 5elements , 5hearts , a kekkei genkai - almost kage level
Itachi had the intelligence of a hokage at age of 7 .. imagine in his prime
Obito can fight any kage even with only Kamui .. there's no counter for kamui unless you have a kamui yourself ,, or you're fast as Minato ... the others have no chance against him .

konan, zetsu -agreed ,,, also with nagato and Oro .

I hope you realize that very few jonins are actually strong, such as Kakashi or Gai.
Most jonin were in the war as fodders that die by kunai and sticks. That's your typical
low-mid jonin. 3 Tomoe kakashi and Darui are both already high jonin. Everyone in the
Akatsuki is definitely kage level. Maybe not Hidan. Hidan was kind of pathetic. And white
zetsu obviously isn't either. But besides those two... all kage levels.

Troll Kage shits on any Akatasuki who can't nuke the battlefield over a huge radius to destroy his Clam. Gaara Daddy can beat the likes of Sasori, Konan, and probably Kakuzu.
