Right now Hiruzen is holding shit together on the front line, also Shikamaru just had a break through moment where he decided to survive and be Naruto's right hand....

... to be honest I don't have my heart in this argument specifically for Hidan, because I pretty much agree with you. There are lots of clues leading to Jashin, but my theory on Hidan coming back is just more of a gut feeling than anything else.

With that said how badass would it be if Hidan, the man who killed Hiruzen's son, showed his face out of the spiral Zetzu or something. lol.

Let's think about Zetsu's abilities and whereabouts during the final battle Hidan had. Zetsu / Guruguru could have been watching the whole thing then did his little earth "Mayfly" technique and scooped up the remains of Hidan. He could be in Guruguru right now fighting Hiruzen. Zetsu watched pretty much all the Akatsuki fights... except Hidan??? or was there something happening in the background there


Not a likely case, but I definitely think it's within the realm of possibility.

Has hiruzen been informed yet that his son is dead? That just crossed my mind. Anyway

Hidan coming back would shock many, I however don't think he is in spiral zetsu either, unless they turned his hair black. Besides the personality does not meesh.

I used to think zetsu saved him because they usually are always watching. But he was not a great asset to the akatsuki for me to think they saved him and kept him in hiding for this long period of time. Kishimoto probably as i said before really did away with him at that time, all of those arcs consist of the fall of the akatsuki all leading up to pain and stuff to me, all of them have died now, why should hidan be the exception.

I mean it's not like zetsu or the akatsuki in general believed in jashin as he did they would not be saving him and hiding him all this time for some big jashin related plot.

Zetsu saving him is wayy within the realm of possibility but the way how things went i lean to not believe it.


Edit: Also something to add to possibilities of him still being alive is that he was not edo tensei'd? But then that could just be because kabuto could not find his body on his DNA collecting quest.

Zetsu could be pre-madara. We don't know if what he told obito was true. Zetsu could be related to Jashin also. The fact that he was so invaluable is what makes him suspect. The only other like that was "Tobi". If jashin is the final villain it seems possible that he would have his most faithful follower saved. Of if Hidan is jashin then maybe zetsu works for him all along. Lol

With that said you just reminded me of the biggest piece of evidence that Hidan is likely to make a return:

Kakuza specifically states that Hidan must still be alive becuase he was not there as an edo tensai. Why would all other members make a edo comeback except one? He is suspiciously absent and stated to not be dead.

Okay, madara needs some serious back up now. Getting all he can handle from 8th gate Gai, Obito turncoated and gave Naruto a power up, then Naruto and Sasuke just got a pep talk / immense SAGE GRADE legendary power up from the real OG sage.... They also now know that Ashura and Indra are supporting them.

Madara is not going to be in this fight anymore unless some other villains show up.

Hagoromo just revealed that the nJuubi tree will drain power from the people under IT, this could be why the real mastermind, jashin was having madara do this. perhaps it is how he can regain his power...

If it lines up with my theory. I'm still betting on Jashin, and I have a feeling that Hidan is going to make a comeback too.

Either that or Sasuke does another lame traitor move, which would be really boring and redundant to me... we'll see.
