Look to senjus left, a woman stands next to him who looks a LOT like konan.
Konan can use paper ninjutsu (therefore wood)
Senju hashirama uses wood ninjutsu

Im not saying that woman is konan, but her mother/grandmother??

I understand where your coming from, but I don't REALLY see a resemblance.
There faces are KINDA similar to me but not really.
I think, if any Akatsuki member where to be related to the 1st, it would probably be Konan.
As you said, the jutsu similarities and one thing I noticed, Konan where's a flower in her hair.
What does it mean, you say?
Well, flowers do come off of trees and wood, so more than likely, yes, Konan is possibly related to the first.
Kind of strange, that would also mean she is related to Tsunade and the 2nd Hokage

Does it really matter what village they are from?
People move around.
Plus, you gotta remember that Konan, as well as Yahiko and Nagato, where orphans, so that means her parents most likely abandoned her in Amagekure so that they wouldn't trace the baby back to the village they lived in.
So is it totally unreasonable to say that the woman in the picture is, say...Konan's grandmother?

I mean look at Naruto's mother Kushina She was a shinobi of the whirlpool country, yet somehow she met Minato, bore his child (Naruto) in Konoha where, he stayed, I mean it could've have been simliar situation with Konan, I mean it makes sense she's an Orphan because she lost her parents, to war (the ninja war that took place during that time), one of her parents could've have been from that village, or she wondered around till' she met Yahiko and Nagato (After there deaths)

well konan is nagato's (peins) sister so technically hes related bloodwise to the senju clan.


In fact i do believe pein is the one who taught the other akatsuki how to take out the jinchurikis bijuu and put it into that weird massive statue he summons.

Which would make sense given that the 1st could control bijuu.

Therefore logically tobi/madara NEEDS pein to control all the kyubii, and tobi/madara is in the lead overall as he does appear to be the leader

Also, since Nagato uses the power of his bodies, not his own powers, wouldn't Yahiko be the one with Bijuu controlling powers?
Because Nagato never shows himself, he only uses Yahiko as a vessel, so if Yahiko [Pein] showed the rest of the Akatsuki how to seal Bijuu, doesn't that mean Yahiko has connections with the Senju clan, not Nagato?

That may be true, but she also has the ability to use paper, which is [Obviously] some kind of wood element jutsu.
So if she can use wood jutsu's that means either one of two things:
She was experimented on by Orochimaru [Which is basically impossible]
OR, Konan has some kind of relation with the Senju clan [Maybe not necessarily the 1st Hokage]

i'm sure it's just me but did anyone else notice the the guy standing to the right of senju? i realize it's a loooooong stretch and you can't tell if it's blond hair when it's in black and white but i wonder if they guy has blond hair and blue eyes like naruto and his father...
