[h=2]During Kakashi's battle with Zabuza on the bridge in the Land of Waves Arc, thought of something that might have been related to foreshadowing or similar occurrences. (Was watching Toonami.) I thought of instances when Kakashi's attacks were interrupted especially when he uses Raikiri and how it led to him accidentally using Chidori on Rin in the past. [/h]
Now lets look at all the foreshadowing:
Now lets look at all the foreshadowing:
- Haku jumped in before Kakashi who was using Raikiri, aiming for Zabuza.
- Kakashi about to finish off Sasuke during the Gokage Summit Arc, but Naruto stops Kakashi from doing so.
- Kakashi vs. Zabuza round two and Haku jumps in again, getting stabbed with the Raikiri again.
One can say that these are rather strong hints of us seeing Kakashi's attacks being intervened again. We got to see it again with Kakashi's past or rather, from Obito's memory and perspective.
Kakashi and Rin were outnumbered by Kiri Ninja and Kakashi was going to use Chidori on the enemy, but Rin jumped in before him and took the hit instead. She was doing it for Kakashi's and Konoha's sake.
Kiri Ninjas: Kakashi's and Rin's pursuers, Zabuza and Haku. Haku took the Raikiri for Zabuza's sake compared to rin.
Kishimoto might have been using these reoccurrences to tell us what happened to Rin before we knew the whole story about what happened to her.
The characters who Kakashi struck were quite young.
During the Kakashi ANBU arc in the anime, Kakashi had the recurring nightmare and thoughts whenever he used Chidori or Raikiri on someone. A picture of the injured Rin would pop in his mind, never being able to forget that tragic moment.
