Author's Note: This story diverges from Naruto at the beginning of Part 2. When Naruto first appears in this story, it is after he first returns to the village from training with Jiriaya for 3 years.

The sun has just begun to rise on the Empire. Street's retain the dark hue of shadows, the only light being a deep dark Orange premating the tops of buildings and providing spaces without many buildings a small amount of light. A sharp cold still lingering in the air, puffs of heat can be seen from peoples mouths.
Two figures are seen treading down a street in the capital. One of them covered from head to toe in a hooded coat, face obscured by shadows. The other; Syura. The son of the Prime Minister, wearing his usual clothes with a fur jacket for warmth
Syura: "Ahh, the Empire. This place hasn't changed a bit."
???: "..."
Syura: "Break the Silent treatment kid, your pissing me off. The power that your ever so desperate for is here!"
???: I joined your group for that purpose. Don't lump me together with someone such as yourself, and I won't be taking your orders.
Syura: A sharp grin spreads across Syura's face, his eye's widening "The only way you get that power is through me, Watch your tone boy!"
???: ...
Syura: {Irritated} "Tch. Intel wasn't lying about your shitty disposition. Oh well, I don't really care as long as your useful in battle. I had heard about the little... test, you were given. You had better be read to kill." Syura's facial expression changes again, revealing his sinister intentions (You may have only joined my group to gain power, but that's fine... your only helping me.)
???: Get Ready...
Syura: {Confused} Huh?
???: Carnage is on the Horizon
The Scene shifts to the HQ of Night Raid. The Orange Glow of the sun still leaving their hideout draped in darkness on the outside. Hidden from view.
Inside of the NR HQ, the day has just begun. The smell of food filling many of the rooms in the lower floors, Tatsumi and Akame are seen preparing dinner for the rest of their Assassin group. They have made steamed rice, miso soup, and various side dishes. In the dining room, Lubbock and Mine are seen arguing.
Lubbock: "Dammit Mine! Could you pipe down!? You always have to be so obnoxiously loud!"
Mine: "Only if you quit being such a lewd shithead! You were trying to spy on Leone again!"
Lubbock: "I said shut it! If you keep this up Leone and Najenda will hear!"
Mine: "That's the point! She should break all of your fingers this time!"
Entering the room is Leone. Not having heard what they were saying, she investigates what all the ruckus is about.
Leone: {Slightly irritated} What are you two making all the fuss for?
Lubbock: "Bwa--!" Mine: "Hah!-" Covers his mouth as well as Mine's
Leone: Baffled
Mine struggles to remove Lubbock's hand but the situation quickly escalates and the two start wrestling. Leone looks increasingly more confused by the second, moments later, Najenda enters the room.
Najenda: "Sigh.." Holding her hand to her head "Could you two please stop? We have important visitors due soon. They had to travel during the night so that nobody would have tailed them."
Lubbock: His tussle with mine coming to an abrupt stop "Visitors? And are you sure they're capable enough to get here undetected?" Getting serious "You know we can't afford to be found out"
Najenda: "They're more than capable"
Lubbock: "So Blunt, how can you be so sure?"
Najenda: "Well..." Smirking "They're Ninjas"
Leone: "Ninjas?" Lubbock: Irritated "You still didn't tell me who they were"
Najenda: "I'll explain everything when they get here. They have to be debriefed on the whole situation as well. In short, the revolutionary army has bought the services of a certain nation from a land far away from here. They posses fierce fighting capabilities that match and even exceed that of Teigu users. I hear that one of them is very famous, while another contains a power that exceeds that of any danger beast you could imagine"
Lubbock: Stunned "Stronger than Teigu users...?"
Chelsea: Entering the room along with Susano'O "Najenda. They're here, who do you want to go greet them?"
Najenda: "Could you do it Susano'O?"
Susano'O: "Yes Ma'am"
Susano'O exits the room to fetch the Shinobi. Tatsumi and Akame enter with large trays of food and begin setting the table.
Tatsumi: Grinning "I guess we finished just in time"
Najenda: "Sure did, everyone should get ready. Im not exactly sure what these Ninja's are like"
Akame: "They're Ninja, Assassins just like us. Just a different name."
Outside down the hallway a loud male can be heard. Along with a female chastising him.
??? (Male): "Oooooh! Cool horns Osuushi-Kun!"
??? (Female): "Could you be anymore rude!"
??? (Older Male): "Now now you two. We're guests here, you shouldn't be so loud."
Susano'O enters the room bearing the guests. Uzumaki Naruto, Hatake Kakashi, Haruno Sakura, and Sai follow behind him.
Naruto: "Oi!"
