As suspected, the old timer's boat was quick, with engines rather than sails. Edo had been reduced to a thin line on the horizon by the time Khada had finally taken a seat. He'd refused to sit at the front of the boat and have the four crewmen and captain behind him, and so had wandered around before finding a neat pile of iron ore crates at the back instead. Now all of them were in his sight.

While he sat there watching the wake of the boat, Khada noticed that the crew all had prosthetic replacements of some kind. One of them even had a whole eye and a side of his face replaced. Same accident as the captain? Khada wondered.
