Either Ive been living under a rock, or im In infinite tsukuyoumi cuz ive been looking for a good new Anime/Manga about magical powers, and thus far have heard nothing about this Magi everyone is suddenly mentioning.

Please do explain, what is Magi, is it an Anime or Manga? and more importntly is it really good enough to be comparable to Naruto even if opinionwise?

Should I give it a try?

i watched the first 2 episodes and i nearly died

It's pretty good, brings together an Arabian Nights theme with an anime, i'm really not the best to give a review but i'd say it very much worth the watch, or in my case read, the manga is ahead of the anime but some and there isn't any LN. Yes it does have magic and adventure, with some infrequent perverted jokes, and s little romance on the side, just a little
