Orochimaru w/ ET > SM Jiraiya > Zetsu body Orochimaru > Jiraiya starting in base > Hiruzen fight Orochimaru > Base Jiraiya > Tsunade > Armless Orochimaru > Drunk Tsunade > Tsunade without summons > Drugged Jiraiya

Note: Armless Orochimaru can't summon snakes because he has no arms to summon them with, and drugged Jiraiya isn't capable of summoning any toad larger than Part 1 Gamakichi

Wrong
Tsunade beats ORochimaru all of the time, Edo is his only trump card with her.
Jirayah needs Sage Mode to beat Tsunade.

Sage Mode JIrayah>Byakugou Tsunade>Orochimaru>SAge Mode Jirayh.

In a fight Tsunade wins,
JIrayah wont be able to enter sage mode.
Orochimaru would be dodging Tsunades punches, Edo would be useless.

There isn't any difference b/w zetsu body oro & hiruzen fight oro, none that the manga has given us anyways. They should be the same strength [& if zetsu body oro can't use weak edo hashi/tobi then hiruzen fight oro would be superior to him].

I agree with everything else.

Depends on which edos you give Orochimaru. If he has the edos he summoned during the war (provided that he could control them), then I agree. Jiraiya has some great counters to that jutsu though

Problem here is, IMO, Jiraiya is the only one of these three with a true end-game technique.

Orochimaru does have Edo Tensei, but that requires him to have prepped for the battle before hand/to have sacrifices. Everyone brings this up in a debate with Orochimaru assuming he can just use it without having any sacrifice. He's got Yamata as well, but it's pretty much featless and most top tier characters have ways to combat it.

Tsunade is ridiculously hard to kill, obviously her strength is out of this world, and Katsuyu is difficult to deal with, but again these are all things that top tier ninja can deal with.

Jiraiya, on the other hand, through Fukasaku and Shima, has Gama Rinsho. If they synch, it's game over. Clones won't save them because their real body is going to be close enough to hear the melody too(and it's noted to be able to effect several hundred enemies), if they manage to figure out what the technique is and they have futon abilities, they MIGHT could cancel it out, but that's relying on Jiraiya not doing anything to stop them, and again, them actually having knowledge of it.

So ultimately, for me it goes:

SM Jiraiya > Orochimaru = Tsunade > Base Jiraiya(I wouldn't even want to get in to a debate of Oro/Tsu just because of how ****ing frustrating they are to kill.)

If it's any condolence, Jiraiya has to rely on "borrowed" powers from Fukasaku and Shima to surpass them, but that ultimately does allow him to do so.

Depending on Orochimaru's Edo Summons, Jiraiya might have a shot to seal them and still deal with Oro. But, it would be extremely high diff, likely. I agree mostly though.

What's the difference between Jiraiya starting in base and Base Jiraiya?

Difference is one will stay at base and the other has the ability to go to SM but doesnt start in SM.

Jiraiya in base has the techniques to deal with Tsunade, though. Ranjishigami no jutsu, for example, would tear her body apart. Yomi Numa + FCD would crush her. Toad Oil Flame Bullet would incinerate her. As strong as Tsunade is, there are ways to get around her form of invulnerability. Byakogou is very powerful indeed, but there's only so much that it can regenerate. In addition, I think the amount of healing that Katsuyu employs is directly proportional to the summoner's reserves. Using Byakogou greatly drains chakra resevers in exchange for a form of short-term "invulnerability" (and I put the quotation marks b/c even using that word to describe the jutsu is subjective and questionable). If Tsunade cannot kill her opponent by the time her reserves run out, then she won't be able to heal herself. Furthermore, most shinobi around Jiraiya's level have the means to counter and put Tsunade down in that form.

It's not that I have anything against Tsunade, mind you. I just think that her fighting style is way too linear, reckless, unsustainable, and unsuitable for any long, drawn-out battle.

You underrate Tsunade's strength. If Jiraiyra uses his hair Tsunade easily pulls him towards her and she kills him.

Tsunade simple summoning Katsuyu can help her out of Yomi numa. Katsuyu can take any Katon for Tsunade. Byakugo only uses chakra when it is regenerating her, if she doesnt get injured no chakra gets used.
