[Raiton] Agnes learns how to shock her foes with Detective L

I'll get back at actually making my "roleplaying" actually decent at some point, just lost ideas as to how to make Agnes show more than just going through the motions actions, as in actual creativity. Until then, another boring quote block, sorry mate :/

"A friend of mine named Jakai actually used this jutsu on me during the recent Konoha tournament, I sadly lost that fight in the end though, bloody lightning clones... I digress though."

*Agnes laughs softly as a small blush covers her face, a fairly frequent occurrence during the last few days. She clasps her hands behind her back before she paces back and forth, continuing her explanation, or more accurately, actually starting her explanation.*

"Ahem... this jutsu is essentially several dozens of Chidori-enhanced Kunai or shuriken at once, or at several intervals with the motions of your hand. While it may not have the accuracy of a single kunai or shuriken, the fact that it can be prepared immediately and surround your opponent swiftly makes it quite useful for overwhelming your opponent. Otherwise... it's not much different from a chidori-enhaced kunai unfortunately, if not nearly the exact same, thus leaving there not much more to mention."

OOC: Another question, with any of these Chidori-variants, does one need to perform the handseals as if one is actually creating the Chidori in order to utilize any of these variants, or is that only needed for the Chidori itself?

"Only for Chidori itself, the variations don't. Anyway, if you complete your Lightning, Chidori is formed with an Ox hand seal, just one. Here you go."

"The next technique is simple, you will concentrate your Lightning based chakra into your dominant hand. You will then compress said chakra, and form it into a ball of Lightning energy. This is capable of being launched towards the opponent, and once it reaches the opponent, it explodes into a massive electrical explosion. Very useful, overall."

*The darkness of the night now fully pervades the area, causing Agnes to mostly lose sight of Dean. However, for a change, she has thought in advanced. She first places a few logs she gathered earlier between herself and Dean, and then uses the basic Katon jutsu by first gathering a small amount of chakra into her lungs and then exhales it out onto the logs, thus igniting them immediately. This gives her a more full view of Dean, although the smoke from the fire causes his face to haze in and out of her vision. She then yawns, mostly unintentionally, but uncontrollably, as she listens to Dean explain the newest jutsu.*

So this is essentially a Rasengan-lite, easy to manipulate and form, but weaker as an end result. However, unlike the Rasengan, this can be thrown. Alright, seems easy enough.

*Agnes gives off a second, more deep yawn as she stretches her arms up above her body before letting them fall naturally to her sides, a small, more humane and gentle smile graces her face as her hair mostly covers her left side. The night's beginning to wear upon Agnes, but she can't let Dean down, not now...*

"This jutsu, funnily enough, reminds me of another famous jutsu, this one used by the rival of the famed Chidori user, the Rasengan..."

*Agnes' eyes slightly glow as she says this, clearly a fan of these popular jutsus.*

"...In that the preparation of the jutsus are similar, with a large condensing of chakra occurring within the palm of the user's hand, although the Rasengan also has the spiral, but controlled, shape manipulation of chakra as well. Meanwhile, this jutsu has the chakra being transformed into Raiton chakra first, using the similar method I have previously shown during this training, also known as the chakra waves. This is followed by a spike of fresh chakra being funneled into the palm of the hand in which the waves traveled, hence causing the concentrated chakra to condense, and thus thicken, forming the ball of electricity to form. From here, the end results of the jutsus are somewhat different. In the basic Rasengan, the ball merely dissipates after hitting the opponent, as its merely a highly potent, concentrated ball of chakra, thus delivering no secondary effects beyond probably... killing... the... erm... yeah..."

*Agnes sighs before continuing.*

"This jutsu, meanwhile, explodes as it hits the opponent... again probably... yeah. However, a key difference between the two moves is that the Rasengan cannot be tossed by a general user, as they need to continue concentrating and rotating the chakra in the palm of their hand in order to retain the focus required to use the jutsu. If this fails, then the Rasengan will dissipate, thus making the user look silly. This jutsu, meanwhile, is fully formed once it appears, and thus doesn't need further concentration to retain its form. As such, the user can then toss it, or use it in a similar manner as the Rasengan, depending both upon user preference and general location or battle situation."

*Agnes yawns again, her eyes drooping downward. She fights to stay up, but is finding it difficult.*

"Now... the key... the keyyy..."

*Agnes lays down onto the log and closes her eyes, failing her mission... and falling asleep. A gentle snoring is heard from her, and an owl is hooting nearby, but otherwise the night is still and quiet, the crackling of the fire murmuring throughout the still air. Agnes has, once again, tuckered herself out. A foolish girl, perhaps, but a delicate, if hardworking, one nonetheless.*

Dean listens to Agnes explain the latest technique, and as she does, one could see that she was tired. They had been training all day, she had fainted at one point too, and Dean even took her to the hospital. He wasn't surprised that she was tired, who wouldn't be? She finished her explanation, only to fall asleep on the log she designated as her sitting place. Dean smiled. Perhaps he had to take a rest as well.. With a bit of Earth chakra, Dean created a small dome around her, to keep her warm through the night, or that which remained of the night. Dean created his own one, though he didn't sleep. He simply sat, in a meditative state, taking a drink from his bottle of Gin every now and then. He had placed the scroll next to her, the technique which she had learned last. They would continue when she was rested.

"Tough girl.."

*Agnes rubs her eyes as the nascent sunlight gleamed upon the dome, sprinkling gently upon her face. She yawns, looking around the dome, stretching as she rises.*

Hm... did Dean build this...?

*She moves around the dome, seeing Dean drinking some gin, seemingly having not slept through the night. Agnes would puzzle over this, but perhaps he was keeping watch during the night. She would feel guilty over this... but good would she have done, given that it was she who passed out. Instead, she gently smiles as she clasps her hands behind her lower back, tilting her head to the left slightly.*

"Good morning sensei."

Hearing the sound of footsteps, Dean turned towards Agnes, who had just woken up. It was morning, and he hadn't even noticed. He placed the gin back into the bag, as he looked at Agnes. Was she ready to continue, or did she first want to eat?

"Morning, Agnes. You hungry? I got burgers, and pie."

Dean said with a smile on his face. He was always one for the junk food.

*Agnes sighs as she sees only burgers and pie for her to eat. She gently shakes her head as she grabs a slice of pie and begins to munch it. Somewhat fruity, yet she doesn't recognize the taste. Perhaps a foreign fruit of some kind? She looks at Dean, her lips slightly curled upwards, both out of the pleasure of the flavor as well as her confusion as to the flavor's identification.*

"Um, may I ask what kind of pie this it?"

Dean smiles, as he continues eating the pie, finishing off the fourth one.

"Alright, we'll move on then! Two techniques at a time, coming right up. The first one starts off by forming the Rat → Monkey → Horse → Tiger hand seals, and creating a more powerful version of Lightning Release: Four Pillar Bind, a technique you previously learned. You will use your Lightning based chakra to shape up to sixteen pillars from the Earth which form a giant cubic oven over the opponent. It is often used after Earth Release: Mud Fall to cover the enemy target in mud and then follow up with using Fire release: Firing Biscuit, creating flames in the oven to roast and harden the mud, immobilizing the opponent.

After that, another Chidori variant. You will start off by forming the Chidori, then using shape manipulation to form the Chidori into a long spear of Lightning which is up to 10 meters in length. The blade is somewhat solid, but it has the effects of a Chidori which numbs the target, but it can cut through Earth and the like. Once the Chidori strikes the opponent, it can also be expanded into several blades to inflict more damage."

Dean then awaits Agnes' response, knowing that she'd cover the techniques with ease.

*Agnes begins a couple of simple stretches, starting by stretching her right arm across her upper chest, and then her left, and so on and so forth, keeping eye contact the entire with Dean. She bears a slight smile, somewhat gently than when she was sleepy, but still retaining the same childish characteristics, almost mischievous in a way. However, she is more mentally preparing to finish off these jutsus and then perhaps even test her abilities facing Dean than playing pranks and the such on the poor guy, being stuck with her... fatuous self for several days now, with her injurying herself numerous times, and passing out a couple now. As she finishes stretching her left hand across her chest, she steals a swift glance upon it, still noting the now muddied looking bandage covering the hand, but feeling no thromb of pain anymore coming from the hand. She sighs, and then stretches both arms forward.*

Dean-sensei is truly a patient person... I must thank him for that when everything's done here.

*She begins to stretch her legs as she listens to Dean's newest set of instructions. A "stronger" variant of the four pillar bind, and an actually stronger variant of the Chidori, the Chidori spear. Agnes bears a now truly childish grin, almost wishing that she ever did make that femme-Sasuke cosplay... nah, too little time, and she's also, although mostly accidentally, a shinobi... thus she did need to take things seriously. Thus she sighs again, this time with melancholy, as she begins to ponder upon how to best explain how one jutsu is completely useless, and the other not exactly terrible. She places the palm of her right hand on her right cheek as she tilts her head in a similar direction delicately, but barely noticeably, bringing herself too deep into thought to remember Dean's presence for a few moments...*

So the one is essentially a Raiton variant of a Doton prison type of jutsu, except it doesn't seem to stun or paralyze the opponent like the four pillar bind version, nor does it seem to do much at all to actually prevent the opponent from countering this jutsu without the aid of other jutsus. The chidori spear jutsu, meanwhile, seems to act more as a katana than anything else. So that's very basic in terms of what I've covered recently. Alright let's begin this now.

*Agnes then pats down her knees and smiles more modestly now before beginning her explanation to Dean.*

"What immediately comes to mind is how silly the entire concept of creating physical, tangible objects from a intangible source truly is... until you realize how extraordinary such a conception is, and just how amazing the abilities of chakra must be. It's such a terrible shame, then, that this is the best that the imagination of Kishi this jutsu's creator is, as this is nothing more than a large prison. Mind, it's quite large, seemingly intimidating even... but it bears no independent defenses like its supposedly weaker sibling, the four pillar bind. Instead, it depends upon other jutsus to actually make it into a true prison, such as creating a fire inside of it, or drowning its prisoners with a deluge of water or... paralyzing the prisoners... yeah, you see what I mean here? It's such a silly idea, and leads most individuals imprisoned to have a plethora of counters to this sort of imprisonment. Worst, unless if the user is a sensor or has sensing abilities, one doesn't quite know what sort of counter will be utilized, thus giving the opponent the advantage of surprise. Most of all... this just looks silly. Truly a measly looking oven isn't the most... okay, if I may hold a bit of blunt honesty, this jutsu is bad and the creator should feel... erm... perhaps not bad, but not necessarily good either."

*Agnes blushes somewhat, not being used to insult so bluntly... except for Seimei, as that person truly was dumb. Creating such a silly jutsu as using swords for creating a tornado around oneself... come on (OOC:

). She merely shakes her head before smiling more vibrantly. Now, onto the good jutsu.*

"Now, the Chidori spear, on the other hand, is actually an okay jutsu. It actually covers for one of the original weaknesses and vulnerabilities of the original Chidori, its poor range, by utilizing a stronger, but thinner, focus of Raiton chakra into one's palm, thus forming a longer spear to cover for the weakness, while enhancing its cutting ability by giving it a form of tangibility. Thus, this jutsu actually does something useful with this concept, allowing Raiton to condense, thus giving it both a paralyzing and cutting ability, while removing the redundancy of having a sword to utilize this effect. However, it loses its piercing ability, thus having a more difficult time piercing strong defenses, while also still depending upon contact with your hand in order to continually funnel chakra into the spear to retain its shape. If this contact is interrupted or lost, then the spear dissipates, making the user look frivolous. Thus, although a decent substitute for the Super Vibrating Lightning Release Sword when the user's sword is either damaged or misplaced, there's still the advantage of using the sword when chakra flow interruptions are anticipated."

*Agnes then curtsies before scratching the back of her head.*

"I'll miss your way of explaining these techniques, as I always tend to get some good stuff from you, Agnes. Hopefully one day, we can spar. Nonetheless, here are the techniques you just learned."

Dean says as he throws the two scrolls towards her. He was a bit sad now, since they were closing in on the S ranks, and after that, they'd have to depart.

"Speaking of spinning techniques, this next one requires somewhat of the same principle. Using your Lightning based chakra, you will form a whirling vortex of Lightning around you. The vortex then takes on the form of a dragon's head, and will grow in size. It will then "jump" towards the opponent, striking the opponent. If the opponent is a bit far, some Lightning can still "jump" from the vortex towards the opponent. Very useful for handling some Earth techniques.

After that, form the Rabbit → Rat → Horse → Ram hand seals and slam your hand onto the ground. You will then release a massive amount of Lightning chakra into the ground, causing it to pool beneath the opponent. A gigantic column of Lightning is then released upwards, destroying everything within it (the opponent in this case). It can affect both large and small areas."

It's been quite some time since I last replied to this training, thus I'm just going to make this reply OOC if you don't mind. Also, much of the incredibly elaborate comparisons and such I usually make won't be done in this reply either. Essentially, I'm going to try to get back into the jist of training first here before going back in character.

The first jutsu is performed by a similar methodology of chakra formation that I demonstrated with Agnes a plethora of times already, where the user will first create a spark of chakra, with will vibrate through their chakra system at a specified point (mostly their limbs) for a couple of cycles, in order to create a full wave of chakra. At its zenith, the user releases the chakra, thus forming a bolt of lightning at its most basic form, highly focused upon damaging any nearby being.

Now, where this jutsu somewhat differentiates from the basic form I mentioned is that, instead of merely creating the wave of chakra through a single area, one flows this wave throughout the entire chakra system, forming a cyclone within one's own body... within reason of course

. The user will then release this chakra gradually (I imagine this to be the case anyways, given this jutsu's initial focused release... so hard to resist talking about the Chidori Nagashi now, but I must be a man of my word here ;_

, thus forming the cyclone itself, giving it a dragon head because why not? This, then, charges towards the opponent, quite an obvious attack as soon as it forms, almost too direct really. It comes with a useful side effect though. Given this jutsu's quite large scale as well as its chakra requirements, one cannot anticipate keeping such a jutsu focused forever. Hence, as it moves away from the user, this jutsu gradually loses some its concentration, thus leaving sporadic sparks of lightning to spark and jump from the main body, striking erratically throughout the nearby environment. Of course, this is random... and not directly focused upon any conveniently placed Doton structures... surely we can make it as random... oh forget it, clearly this effect can be used to help reduce any debris from a physically struck Doton jutsu, hence making this useful for countering Doton techniques. Otherwise... another basic jutsu really, although it does cover over one's head as it forms, hence, although the latter movement can cause one's vision to become briefly poorer, one can also use this jutsu as a makeshift upper defensive manuever.

However, it's not the best jutsu either. It's long formation period (remember, the entire cyclone must first be formed in order for the jutsu to initiate its charge, if I'm not mistaken about this anyways), as well as its gradually weakening form as it progresses, makes it not entirely useful for swifter opponents. Still, not the worst jutsu either, at least there's some utility out of this one.

Telegram Flash... is just a Raiton version of the Great Flame Pillars jutsu. I know I said before that I wouldn't bring in comparisons here, but really, this is damn near close to being the type of jutsu that some rushed writer would make when they need a cool new jutsu that all the kids would enjoy watching, even if nothing is really unique about it. Sigh... well, I guess let us begin then.

The user would first form chakra within one's feet before releasing it underneath the opponent, forming a visible circle of Raiton chakra around their vicinity. The chakra then sparks upwards, shocking the opponent... yep, totally unique here, five gold stars, see me after class for another gold star

But really, there's an interesting difference between the two jutsus that I must discuss here. Mostly, this one is much more fluid with its size (besides the column being gigantic... while also allowing its circumference to change depending on the shinobi's will... which, I figure, means that its general height will always be gigantic, while its circumference can differentiate...), while the Flame Pillar jutsu always specifies that three must be formed... not truly much of a difference here... but maybe I'm not seeing something here. This particular jutsu is one that I'm seeing used nowadays, but is there anything truly different about it? Am I missing something here?

As for the questions throughout your post, yes the Thunder Dragon Tornado takes a bit of time, but its great to both take of Earth techniques around you, and heading towards the opponent as well. It's one of my favorite techniques to use. As for Telegram Flash, indeed. A nice technique, but it requires one to keep focus for it to work successfully.

Now the next technique is quite simple, and focus as well. Form the Snake hand seal, and manipulate your Lightning chakra to emit the Lightning, either from your hands or mouth. It is emitted in the shape of a spear, which obviously, can be launched towards the opponent. More than one spear can be created, but the less power each would contain if done, so take that into account as well.

After that, the most devastating Lightning technique, Kirin. After firing a Fire technique into the air (one with a long reach range) and heating up the atmosphere to create the perfect conditions (one turn after it), you will use Chidori to take control of the Lightning above you. This forms into a dragon, and strikes in n eye flash, making it one of the fastest canon techniques, which when initiated, can only be dodged with Space/Time Techniques. However, the technique can only be used by Lightning specialists, and in the turn you use it, both Chidori and Kirin have to be posted, since the former is used to take control of the natural Lightning.

The first jutsu is literally a more powerful copy of the False Darkness Spear we covered earlier. I don't really know what to say here either, as this one only adds in a Snake handseal requirement but gives it the new utility of the capacity of usage either through your mouth or through one of your hands. Otherwise, the same advantages and disadvantages apply here as it did in the False Darkness Spear jutsu. The jutsus are both highly swift jutsus with powerful penetration potential, with this one potentially being difficult to avoid; if splitted, although each splintered spear has less power than a combined spear (with the power scale going like this: 1 S-Rank spear> two A-Rank spears > four B-Rank spears etc.), one can use these spears as a method to re-direct the opponents attention and/or direction. For example, one can use some of these spears to pinch the opponents position, forcing them to defend against the spears while the user prepares a follow up attack underneath them, such as creating a Flame Pillar underneath them, and two behind them (in order to make them think of only the spears, as one being created in front of them may alert them to the presence of the other two pillars). Another example is to create a Dropping Lid from above them while they continue their focus on the spears. And one can create numerous other scenarios with this jutsu. The problem with this jutsu, though, is that it's nearly impossible to be overly stealthy with both its vibrant brightness, and intense noise associated with it. However, its immense speed helps alleviate some of this.

The other jutsu, meanwhile, is the stuff of modern legend, the Kirin. It's actually not all that great in this RP unfortunately. If it works... then great, you basically won a match against someone not using Minato, Obito, EMS Sasuke/Madara, doesn't have OP absolute defense customs, etc etc. The problem is that everyone and their walrus/toaster knows that when a shinobi uses a long-range Katon jutsu and aims it towards the sky, the following turn a Kirin's coming. Thus, all one needs to do is maintain heavy pressure on the opposing shinobi... and then they cannot use this jutsu. That's the best counter, preventing them the change to ever use this jutsu. Mind, if you have a long-range, powerful water jutsu, one can merely aim it at the sky... and possibly cancel it out... or just use the Rain Tiger at Will jutsu and take control of the weather . Really, as long as one doesn't become too careless, this isn't impossible to prevent.

Now, the other restrictions are a bit more interesting. The Lightning specialist restriction effectively prevents about 80% of the rp from using this jutsu, knowing how people tend to choose water and earth specialties nowadays, maybe a few choose wind or lightning. The next two are pretty obvious, given that I spoke of the absolute defense one while the once per battle one is pretty clear. Either you can kill the opponent with it or you cannot, no need for a second attempt if you cannot anyways, regardless of this restriction. The fourth restriction I've already spoken about, but the final restriction is honestly the key towards understanding this jutsu, and why maintaining pressure upon an opponent trying to use it is so important. When using this jutsu, one must also post the Chidori jutsu alongside this one, hence using up two of your jutsu slots. Hence, the user only has one jutsu slot left to counter any possible jutsus moving towards them and then post this without any distractions towards the opponent (unless one plans out the counter move extremely well). Hence, by proper pressure, the opponent will always need to counter moves and thus have little chance to use this jutsu. Also, by moving closer to the opponent, one can give the opponent less and less time towards actually preparing this jutsu, although this does have some risks associated with it, but then, it usually always does.

Now, I'll end this discussion with a question, lest I overly bloviate about this jutsu. One, is the bold perfectly accurate? I don't know if it is, so I'd appreciate a verification about it.

The problem is that everyone and their walrus/toaster knows that when a shinobi uses a long-range Katon jutsu and aims it towards the sky, the following turn a Kirin's coming. Thus, all one needs to do is maintain heavy pressure on the opposing shinobi... and then they cannot use this jutsu. That's the best counter, preventing them the change to ever use this jutsu. Mind, if you have a long-range, powerful water jutsu, one can merely aim it at the sky... and possibly cancel it out... or just use the Rain Tiger at Will jutsu and take control of the weather . Really, as long as one doesn't become too careless, this isn't impossible to prevent.

The first part is fairly accurate, as people go like, "Ah, fire aimed at the sky, better stop that Kirin!". As for using Water or Rain Tiger at Will, that'd be a no-no. Unless you have a Wind custom that entirely takes control of the environment or one that can impact Kirin head on, you're out of luck. Best is to make sure it doesn't happen at all.

Now, for the next technique start off by performing a (Raiton: Chidori) Lightning Release: One Thousand Birds in each hand, and the slamming them together. This unleashes a large amount of Lightning chakra towards the opponent, in the shape of a thunderbolt. This technique is best being used when you have a height advantage, since you can get hurt as well, if the technique is used in close range. It leaves a massive crater behind as well.

After that, form the Ox → Rabbit → Monkey hand seals and manipulate your Lightning based chakra. Then, focus it to your palm of your hand and create a more focused version of Chidori. In this case, due to the focus, its white in color and pretty strong too. All the same drawbacks and advantages of the normal chidori apply, though this one is higher in rank.

*Agnes Oblige finally arrives back at the training field, sighing sadly as she... kind of left without saying anything to Dean. Kind of a fit of fancy on her part, but she needed the break, both to recover herself from the plethora of injuries incurred during this training as well as just a momentary amount of mental relaxation. Unfortunately for her, she found a guy... completely her training for her. How utterly rude and uncalled for, but no matter. She meekly smiles, and approaches the duo... until she hears the word Kirin. Immediately her heart skips a few beats. Did... did they just cover Kirin, one her favorite jutsus? How... how could Dean... why, why would he let this happen... especially to some goateed smuck? How... how completely unacceptable. Her sense of humility and kindness goes right out the window as she delivers a potent kick right towards the poor guy's stomach, causing him to be launch a comedic distance completely out of her character's abilities {

}.*

"I can explaaaaaaaaaaaiiiiiiiiinnnnnn..."

*As the guy becomes a minute light in the sky, she turns her attention to Dean and charges towards him, preparing to kick him as well. The poor girl, lost all sense of herself...*

This was weird, Agnes suddenly came running towards him. What the hell? What did he do wrong now? Dean laughed, as his face turned evil. He had the perfect technique to take her on. Utilizing his Lightning based chakra, Dean points his right hand towards her, and releases a blast of Lightning aimed at her chest. She slams into the ground, but instead of damaging her, this electricity is static. This causes her to get stuck to the ground.

"Agnes..what the hell?"

"Edea! Why are you doing this? This... this is unacceptable!"

*Agnes Oblige dashes towards the mountebank, a bit of sweat covering her hair.
