Was Thanos involved in the events of Age of Ultron

In the mid credits scene Thanos says Fine i will do it my self After ultrons death.

villains say such things that way when their men or mercenaries fail to do something after that they want to step in personally . did thanos have something to do with ultron ?

He was referring to Loki & Ronan the Accuser.

Earth just created the Vision and got another Gem, Thanos likely knows.

Thor already said it somewhere at the end of the movie, that in a few years several incidents occurred revolving around Infinity Stones, which is simply too much to be a coincidence. He was referring to Thanos, unknowingly or not, but it's not like Thanos orchestrated all of it, he had no involvement with Ultron. He however did originally gave the staff with an Infinity Stone to Loki, which he consequently lost and eventually ended up in Vision. Hence he's saying he will have to do it himself as no one who he hires seems to be able (or wants) to give him the Stones.
