ARC ONE: INNOCENCE LOST

On the other side of Falkshire, another young prospect rises and enters the fray. This young boy however doesn’t show as much enthusiasm as Seguro or is as goal-oriented as Art. He isn’t the strongest or willful person but his strength lies in a totally different place than anyone else’s…
Woman: “Aiden!! Are you still asleep?? Geez you know your dad will be extremely disappointed if you don’t get into the military today. Aiden? Aiden?” The woman continues to yell at him as she climbs the stairs to his room. She quickly slides open his door and finds him on the ground in an awkward position snoring really loud. “Aiden! Time to get up, you are going to be late!”
Aiden: “Whaa? What’s going on?” He asks in a quiet, sheepish voice.
Aiden’s mom: “You are going to be late to the enlistment, remember this is a big day for you and your father. You don’t want to disappoint him now do you?”
Aiden: “Oh yeah, I already forgot. Sheesh I guess I’ll get up then let me make my…”
Aiden’s mom: No…no don’t worry about making your bed. Just go ahead and head out right now I’ll do that for you.” Aiden’s mom begins pushing him down the stairs quickly.
Aiden: “Whaa?? No breakfast? Geez how am I supposed to get through the day if my stomach is empty?” His mom pushes him to the front door and stops.
Aiden’s mom: “You should have planned to wake up earlier then. Now you have a good day and do your best this years proctor is gonna be a doozy I hear from your father.” She opens the front door and pushes Aiden out and throws his shoes into his arms. “Alright bye!” She gives him a kiss on the forehead and slams the door.
Aiden: “Sheesh she could have at least fed me…I don’t understand her sometimes…” Aiden shrugs his shoulders and puts on his shoes. “Oh well…what can I do?” He then begins to walk in the direction towards the Falkshire Training Facility with his hands behind his head looking into the sky.
Seguro has a huge force on his back as Art waits processing the situation. The cloaked man gave Art the ultimate ultimatum.
Art: “There’s no way I’m waiting another year to join the military. So, how do I get that idiot safely?” Art puts his sword back into the sheath. Suddenly the cloaked man’s leg that is on the ground is pushed back by the ground that Art terraformed. “Now, you idiot get out of there!” Seguro rolls over and tries to burn the man again but he quickly withdraws the flames and catches his balance. Art quickly throws a kick at the man and is quickly blocked by his left arm. (Damn this arm is not as hard, so what is the deal? Maybe he thinks my kicks aren’t strong enough. Damn him!) Art contorts his body and throws a punch toward the man’s face but the man catches his fist. The cloaked man kicks Seguro sending him skidding over the ground causing dust to stir up. He then grabs Art’s arm and throws him. Art lands on his feet and then prepares again for another strike.
Cloaked man: “Alright enough, you two pass…” He says with an extremely calm voice.
Seguro: “Pass? What do you mean?”
Cloaked man: “This was a simple test for you two, I just wanted to see your drive to become part of the Falkshire Military. So I will leave you guys to go to the Training Facility.” Before Art or Seguro could ask him anything, he quickly left the area only leaving behind a cloud of stirred up dirt and dust.
Seguro: “Well that was extremely anticlimactic. Well who the hell was that then, I’m extremely confused.” Seguro gets off the ground and pats himself off.
Art: “I don’t know who that was but he was skilled and put us to shame. Damn I need to work even harder. Besides we need to get going we only have ten more minutes before we are late.”
Seguro: “Holy…right let’s go!” Seguro takes off in a random direction.
Art: “Hey idiot! You’re going the wrong way!” Seguro turns around and runs back in to meet Art and they begin running together towards the Training Facility.
Seguro: “Who are you calling an idi…” Seguro plows into another person sending both of them into the dirt.”
Simultaneous yelling: “Hey watch where you’re going!” The two rub the sore body parts that ache.
Art: “Look we don’t have time to mess around, Seguro get up you moron.”
Seguro: “Yeah, yeah I’m getting up A-hole…” Seguro gets up patting himself off again.
Aiden: “Don’t tell me you two are joining the military too?”
Art: “Yeah we are.”
Seguro: “Great! Another weakling joining the military! My name is Seguro! Don’t bother asking about his name he still hasn’t told me yet.”
Aiden: “Weak? Pshhh… Aiden’s the name.”
Art: “We don’t have time for introductions right now we have five minutes to get there.” Everyone nods in agreement and begins running for the Training Facility.
Aiden: “Luckily its just up this street, if we hurry we can make it.” The three run as fast as they can. They reach the front doors of the giant building known as the Falkshire Training Facility. They push the doors open simultaneous and are greeted with a crowd of teenagers anxiously waiting for the enlistment ceremony. “Phew we made it!” Everyone stops what they are doing and look in the direction of the three of them.
Seguro: “Hell yeah we made an exciting entrance. I am Seguro!! And I will be stronger than all of you!” Everyone looks at him with mixed reactions all pretty negative. Art and Aiden distance themselves from him as he makes a scene.
The room is full of many prospects but what does the enlistment ceremony entail? Will Aiden, Art and Seguro make it through the enlistment process?
