Age difference between Itachi and Nagato

I'm very confused here... Nagato started being trained by jiraiya around age 13 during the close of the 2nd Great Ninja War. Jiraiya spent 3 years training the ame orphans which leaves him at about 16 at the close of his training. Jiraiya then traveled the world searching for the child of prophesy... if this took around 2/3 years to complete this makes nagato around 18/19 years old.

Now let's assume Jiraiya immediately started training Minato back at the hidden leaf. That makes Minato 13 years old, and 6 years younger than Nagato.

When tobi attacked the hidden leaf with the nine tailed fox Minato was around 25/30 years old, and itachi was 5 years old. At this point in time that would make Nagato around 31 years old, correct? Now i was under the assumption that Itachi and nagato were only a few years apart. But according to this information, by the time itachi was 21 that would make Nagato 47......!

I KNOW this is not true, but i can't figure out where the math, or the information is incorrect and i can't waste my time trying to re figure it out. Can anyone help me out here...?

yes i knew this....he just looks young. itachi looks old as well(13 at time of massacre yet looked like an adult). its just that one looks young and one old

There's no way nagato's 47-50 though... neither is konan that's for sure.

Even rounding all numbers down, saying Minato was 25 at the time of the attack, and saying Nagato was 10 when his training started, that still puts him at 42....

Well, Jiraiya was only about 50 when he died, and I imagine he started training Nagato around age 20-25. Given that Nagato was probably around 10 when he started training under Jiraiya, add at least 25 years to that and you get Nagato's age to be AT LEAST 35

I don't think so... did he? I thought he believed nagato was the child of prophesy first, then minato then naruto?

nagato is the same age is minato he older than kakashi because jiraiya already had left the village when minato became a jonin he looked the same age as jiraiya when he was training minato

i think nagato is about 47 (1)- kakashi was with guy and they were about 16 then (2)- sasuke is 4 or 5 yrs younger then itachi (3)-naruto vs pein, pein did look old in that chair

Nagot isabout 40-45. Minato would have to atleast be 40 if he was alive today.
