This is just my opinion. It is something I would like to bring to everyone's attention so I could see what they think about it.
Just at the end of the war after Jubito and Madara are defeated. The villages decide that Sasuke is still a criminal/enemy, because he brought back Orochimaru, a S class criminal, also was involved with akatsuki who started this war, plus all the other criminal acts he has done. The kages were released from edo tensei so they couldn't explain anything to the SA. Sasuke then disappears with Orochimaru and his gang.
Naruto passed out after the fight and didn't know what happened until he woke up inside the village a few day's later. He found out Sasuke was still considered a missing nin and a national criminal. Not being able to keep his promise to Sasuke about bringing him back, he tells Tsunade and the other Kages that he will look for Sasuke himself and bring him back and to not have anyone hurt him. The other Kage then scold Naruto, telling him that "if you are to become Hokage then you will have to make the right decisions, Sasuke is considered a criminal and therefore will be eliminated and If you can not handle the responsibilities that a Hokage has, then you have no right being one."
Naruto then says his famous line. "How can I become Hokage if I can't even save one friend" He then leaves the village forcibly and becomes a missing nin. He wants to find Sasuke before anyone else can.

Now this is just part of my story that I have thought of. The reason why I stop here is to describe some similarities from the past before I post my second part. When the village wouldn't accept Madara and Madara left. Hashirama did not chase after him. Madara then succumbed by evil and hate fought hashirama and they both failed to stop the endless cycle of hate. But Naruto decides to leave his dream aside for a friend.
Most people haven't realized this but the closer Naruto gets to Sasuke the farther he gets away from his dream of being Hokage. The reason I brought up Madara and Hashirama is because their situation is similar to Sasuke and Naruto's. Except that Naruto Sacrifices his dream for his friend, which could be a step forward to ending the cycle of hatred.
Depending on what others say, I'll post my other part continuing this. Plus if you like add to rep as well.
