After waiting for 2 long weeks, nothing significant happens in One Piece 689

i was quite pissed off with One Piece, i couldnt believe that after waiting (painfully) for two long weeks, one piece chapter 689 was mainly a chapter on dialogue. Like seriously, after two f.u.c.k.i.n.g. weeks!!!!!
who cares about brown beard, who cares about his men.
We want to see Law and Smoker vs the Vice Admiral Guy.
We want to see Luffy kick a.s.s.
by the time i got to page 14 i was really pissed.

I didn't really mind,it's kinda like naruto at times on how the author drags some boring moments.

I can never see why people use "two weeks for a chapter" as part of their reasoning. Who ever said Oda was taking a break for research? He has a personal life too. Chapter was a set up chapter, none of it was "pointless".
