I'm a Sasuke fan and it's disappointing Sasuke has been left far behind, but it was bound to happen. I think it's possible however Sasuke may receive a substantial power up to be closer to Narutos power.
In this thread I will try to explain why Sasuke will be closer to Naruto than some think using examples from Kishis real life. Masashi Kishimoto the author of Naruto has a younger twin brother Seishi Kishimoto. Both became manga writers and Masashi Kishimoto must have made Naruto in order to relate to his relationship with his younger brother.
Before you rant me! Think about it. Naruto and Sasuke both seemed similarly even until one factor alone seperated their strengths! Sage Mode. Sasuke and Naruto were even until sage mode comes in. When Sasuke entered a psuedo Sage Mode at VOTE he became above Naruto even slightly. Right now with Naruto combining SM with his BM he becomes > Sasuke.
Just like with SM Hashirama > Madara.

The Rikudou who created the Elder Son and Younger Son NAruto vs Sasuke only entrusted the younger son. So no matter what the elder son did the younger son is the entrusted one so he will always prevail.
However the Elder Son always manages to escape and then come back to prevail for only for a short time. Now of course what does this have to do with Kishimoto and his brother. Well read my next spoiler to find out.

Kishimotos dad died when he and his younger brother were young. This cannot just be a coincidence. His father could have possibly left Seishi(younger or Masashi(elder in order for one to prevail over the other. If Kishi is really sticking in his life into the book that means Sasuke wins(the elder because Kishi is more successful than his younger. If Naruto wins then he was just making it up to praise his younger brother.
However we as Naruto fans can only guess who was left the gift of a father.
