From what I seen from jumpfest,kishimoto said that Sasuke will become hokage (read foreverworld review) .The only way for Sasuke to become hokage is to destroy the main treat called Madara and the tailbeast so everyone will live in peace and the shinobi alliance will see that the uchiha clan are good people.
I donot know what power up Sasuke will get in the upcoming chapter but his absent is preparation for another move by him.Sasuke was absent for 1 chapter when Madara revival to human form but the chapter after it make him almost solo Madara twice (amaterasu and kenjutsu).Currently Sasuke is absent for 2 chapter he will definitely stop Madara or solo him 4 times (do the math) .

Naruto will be unconscious/dead(since he half uzamaki) during Madara and Sasuke battle.Probably Minato could use chiyo jutsu and sacrifice ying chakra and his own to save Naruto.Minato have not more siginificant in the war since he lose one hand and he not doing anything .

Sasuke does have more leadership qualities than Naruto, however... I still think that he shouldnt be Hokage. If anything it would be better if he and Naruto became 'joint' Hokages of the Leaf; representing the Yin and the Yang and the way in which they can work together.

As for Madara.... well... i do think that now would have been as best a time as any to introduce the original Rikudo Sennin into the manga (even if as a Chakra memory or the final powerup for Sasuke or Naruto). As far fetched as it might seem, we've already seen some major asspulls throughout the manga so I dont see why it cant happen. It would at least tie things in with the Bijuus, Naruto, the Secret behind the SO6P Seal used on Kurama.. etc etc.
