Naruto manga gave me my #1 favorite character of all time, so there's that.

Otherwise, yeah, 6-7 out of ten sounds about right.

Good point, 10/10 is illogical. DBZ for me is 9/10. Even that's not perfect.

What did you like about DBZ more than Naruto?
I see Naruto's story far more complex than DBZ.

OT: Since 2006, final rating 9/10.

I like the depth of characters, complex shinobi system/jutsu classification etc. and most of all the symbolism that surrounds certain(hmph hmph...Itachi) some characters and events.

There are also slight political involvements and other stuff rather than just *boom* *boom* yay the hero wins, villain dies (for most of the story, we all know the manga)
Also so god damn many wise quotes, some important lessons and some feels throughout these 700 chapters.

Altough there have been some really annoying plotholes and sometimes the story is just not interesting e.g. five kage summit the most recent.

But I definitely enjoyed the ride, so 9/10

Too many retcon and inconsistencies. Lazy writing, over reliance on certain elements, no sense of big 'cost' - Just all around meh. That's from a writing stand-point, from an Entertainment standpoint it was mostly enjoyable... Or I would of stopped long ago.

DBZ had a different feel to it, there was more fantasy and comedy. Perfect balance. While Naruto got too childish at times.

7/10 for me. Naruto Part 1 was a great introduction into the story, but shippuden focused on Naruto and Sasuke so much that everyone else became Irrelevant to the plot. Also, Plot holes and repetitive flashbacks in almost every chapter were an issue

However, I've found the Last few chapters of Naruto really Nostalgic so It's been a fun ride.

I've noticed people have been rating it 10/10. I would say putting it 10/10 would be an unreasonable rating due to the fact, that it has tons of flaws. That's why, I'd put it up at 7/10 - 8/10.
*Note: I am not reproaching people for there ratings, I just believe giving it a 10/10 would be going too far.

6/10, the sole reason being I've read tons and tons of manga, so it never actually appealed to me as much as my favs did. But still, a 6/10 ain't bad, right?
