Looks :
Afro is black. Yeah that's right. A black ninja. He's also tall by Japanese standards. Standing at 6' 3'' there are few ninja who even come up to his shoulder. Being that he is rather tall, he has a slimmer build. Although his build is slim his muscle definition is prominent and he can fill out his body. His attire normally consists of a white shirt that is open most of the time. Loose black pants cover his lower body and he wears sandals identical to those worn by Jiraiya. His signature is of course is his hair. He has a large black "afro"that is more resembling of a mane of some-sort. Holding his hair up is a shinobi headband with the Rising Sun decorating it. The headband's long ties are often blowing far behind him in the wind.
Personality :
Afro has a very cool and collected manner. After seeing his father get decapitated when he was younger, he knew he couldn't continue to be a boy, he would have to grow into a man. Although he did seek revenge he was not outspoken about it and didn't care if people knew his ambitions or not (*Cough*Sasuke*Cough*). Afro seeks a path of self-concern, trying not to be affected by the actions of others, watching out for himself. Afro is "plagued" by an inner-voice who refers to himself as Ninja Ninja. Ninja is the complete opposite of Afro. He is loud and obnoxious and says all the things that Afro cannot. Afro is constantly smoking and carries his lucky lighter around with him.

Ninja Ninja :
Ninja ninja is afro's alter-ego of sorts. To Afro, ninja is almost like a real person. He cannot tell if ninja is real or just something in his mind sometimes. Ninja is vulgar and often makes fun of Afro for what he cannot bring himself to do, whether it is run away from a stronger opponent or ignoring a pretty girl.

History.
Afro was born into Kirigakure. As a child, he was cheery and a good student. He was very studious and consistent with his training among the other soon-to-be shinobis of the Village Hidden by the Mist. Afro's personality change began when he was forced to kill the rest of the Genin in his villages Academy Graduation requirement. After being the cause of his comrades bloody demises it changed his personality from joyous to a serious and determined demeanor. This was further enhanced when Afro's father was decapitated alongside his mother. A rogue shinobi from Kumogakure had killed his parents just for kicks in the middle of the night. Afro set out on a path of revenge to find the shinobi, departing Kiri for about 8 years. He returned when he was 21. He hadn't picked the best time as it was a war between Suna/Iwa/Kumo against the Mist Village. He was placed into battle immediately, being relied upon to fight.

Other.
Afro carries a sole katana with him. The blade was forged by one of the Legendary Swordsmen of the Mist and has been passed down in his family for generations.
He carries many ninja tools such as Kunai, shuriken, senpons, tag bombs and wire.
He is very intellectual and a good planner although he doesn't show it unless necessary.
