Truthfully i would advise you to pay attention in class at all times also if you want to fit in good play lots of sports you get alot of good freinds that way and you get attention from girls and mainly be yourself because the best freinds are the ones who accept you for you

But I hate grade 8's lol me and my friends always kick a group of grade 8 ass to knock their ego back down cuz they finally started smoking weed... Anyways UR grades dont really matter till grade 10 for university / college so tbh u can relax and hang with friends... But I assume ure parents want good marks anyways so just do UR homework at 6 or 7 and UR going to get good grades

High school is dope, more privileges and I think it's fun. Do your hw right after school so you don't have to worry about it later. Eat breakfast, helps out a lot actually lol.

kay bro, there is 20 ways this can go:

1.) If you live in the hood, stfu, and only talk when somebody say something to you. If somebody say "what up" you say "whuz gud". If the teacher asks you a question, give the shortest answer you possibly can, Sound smart, but dont sound like a nerd. Everyohne in your class should be freshman too, so they probly feel the same way you do. Now, dont act like a tough guy even if you are, and dont wanna get into fights. Cause thats your 2dt ticket into one. You'll pick up friends on the way, and if your secretly weird, supress that weirdness until your absolutly sure that you have friends like you. This may go on for years if you are. I am too. lol.

2.) If you live in a neighborhood where you can leave your car door unlocked, Gunshots aren't like doorbells, friendly people everywhere, humble folks without temtation, Ample parking day or night, people shouting howdy neighbor, i might be a bit easier.
Just be yourself, and dont worry about what other people think, your friends will come along that way.
