Just caught up and the series overall I think is really good. My least favorite arc in Magi is the Pirate arc So I very much dislike the current arc but it's still really good.

I think you can already see why Sinbad will become a villain. His belief is that's he's chosen by destiny so everything he does in his mind is justified. And I think that will basically be his excuse when it's revealed how much of a villain he's become.
