Advanced Nature Transformations

What exactly are the weaknesses of advanced nature transformations, such as Lava Release, Ice Release, Particle Release, Wood Release and the like?

Can we assume them to be:

i) weak against the natures that their constitutive elements are weak against

or

ii) weak against those natures that we know based on common sense (eg: Ice is weak against fire, coz fire would melt it) ?


If we use ii), we can figure out the weaknesses of most of the advanced nature transformations, but how about Kekkei Totas like Particle Release or Kekkei Genkais like Scorch Release or Explosion Release? How can we ascertain their weaknesses?

Thoughts?

i always wondererd if you a can add lighting to particle style and make ENERGY STYLE !

Everything is weak against itself
So lava would be weaker again a greater lava technique, etc

Except for Wood style... Bone style can beat it easily

Its kinda unclear....but we do know Deidara's exploding clay was countered by Lightning which is a start

Also, Sio ton (Crystal Release) is ineffective against energy-based jutsus like lightning and fire style jutsus. We might be onto something! :ice:

It's really hard to explain, seeing as the natures behave unexpectedly, wind is strong against lightning, yet when you combine it with water and make ice, Ice is weak to lightning, so honestly no one really knows but Kishi
