Matter of fact is, that despite what hype might say, Netero would win in a fight between the two. It takes someone with the King's Speed, Intelligence and Durability to get through too Netero. Unfortunatly for Gon, he only has the Speed of the King, in terms of Intelligence and Durability he is far inferior. And his Strength is only on par with the King's, so its not like he can simply overpower the Buddha which is something the King was not even capable of doing.
Have you not seen Gon's ability as a strategist shown many times throughout this manga? He is not one to underestimate at all, his quick wits was shown earlier in the series against Netero when he and Killua had to retrieve the ball, Gon surprised Netero by using his shoe to extend his reach, or even earlier in the hunter exams when he figured out the plan for them to escape, many times Togashi has shown that Gon is extremely smart.

Adult Gon is definitely stronger. I think Pitou does stand a chance against Netero (old of course) even if she does lose. But Gon simply wrecked her without a problem, he paid a heavy price for it though.

Adult Gon is according to Pitou=Pre-nuke Meruem which means he can murder Netero.

In terms of ranking i would rank Adult Gon above Netero but if they were to actually fight...hard to say. HxH isn't linear, the stronger one isn't necessary the winner. Gon still lacks experience.

I remember the King only winning due to his experience with Komugi. Meruem didn't have a Hatsu too. I see Adult Gon beating the King due to his Hatsu, but Gon lacks the experience with calculations, predictions, making a plan, etc... that Meruem learned from battling Komugi in Gungi, which made him win the battle.

Gon would try to hit Netero, but would fail. He would get pummeled, but due to his emotion state, I don't think he would feel pain. Meruem felt dull pain after many many strikes, but I don't think Gon would feel any pain in that state. I don't know if the Buddah can deflect, or even intercept a Jajanken Pa, but by that time, I think Gon can slip by and get the chance to kill Netero. Meruem didn't want to kill Netero because he wanted to learn his name. I'm certain a Jajanken Gu will deflect anything the Buddah throw at him. I don't know what would it do to Zero Hand, but I'm sure he'll survive that, and kill Netero.

If Netero had the bomb here, I see Gon still surviving this. Meruem at the time didn't utilize his full defenses, while Gon is a master of Ken. He could even use Gyo, making his frontal side have more aura than the back side.
