If Naruto took the most damage then it just means that he can take more damage than Sasuke. Besides that Sasuke has been trying to kill naruto this whole fight.

Which reminds me of that "erase the past" line that Sasuke was saying to jin Obito. I know it was obvious but it makes sense moreso now.
