I've been looking for that scan for ages.

Improved Shadow Clone is a feat known to Orochimaru only, at least from what we've seen in manga.
He can replace himself with a clone AFTER getting hit by an attack. You can clearly see himself getting stabbed with a kunai (there's blood and it didn't disappear) and later he substitutes himself so his place is taken by a clone.
With this jutsu he can shit on 90% of potentially lethal techniques or simply use it to make an opponent waste massive amounts of chakra on their very chakra-demanding jutsu.
