Okay so in that episode or chapter when fairytail was attacked by achnologia why didn't laxus or makarov use fairy law to kill it

fairy law requires some time to cast as it is fairytail tradition. but that reason is stupid. Achnologia is a dragon and only dragonslayer magic can slay it. Look what it did to gildarts. the damn dragon literally broke him. Besides i guess its the strongest dragon.

Dragonslayer magic is called such for a reason. Its the only thing that can kill a dragon from the looks of it. Even then for Achnologia, you have to be pretty powerful.

^ Laxus is still technically a Dragon Slayer even though he is a Second Gen could become a Third Gen if they were able to find the dragons and train under the Lightning Dragon if it is still alive

But yeah Fairy Law, is powerful but it takes far too much time to prep the technique, thus why everyone rushed it the way they did, Makarov, and Laxus knew Fairy Law would have been futile so thus they didn't attempt it.

Also as many said above Gildarts their strongest member, was scared as shit when he saw it the second time, and look what he did to Natsu in their fight and if Natsu could of at teh time use the Lightning Flame Dragon mode, he still wouldn't be able to harm the damn thing lol
