Kuzan walks briskly towards the training grounds, where he was to meet a new student. Along with him, he brings several scrolls and various items that would aid him in teaching. Meeting the student, he says nothing, and instead, begins walking towards a different direction, motioning the student over to follow him. The two would walk through a forest, until they reached their destination: A large lake, giving them an ample amount of water to work with, with a large waterfall to the side. On the opposite side, an empty field with a large amount of training dummies stacked near Kuzan. Looking at his student, Kuzan introduced himself. "Hello, my name is Kuzan. You can call me Aokiji, or God of Ice, or senpai. Whatever floats your boat. So, I assume you had no prior training in this element, Jugram?" As he waited for his students' reply, Kuzan whips out a scroll with a few questions. "This scroll contains questions that i'd like you to personally answer before we commence with the actual training. Some don't have anything to do with the water element, but is still important to know, especially for those starting out." Kuzan unrolls the scroll, revealing the questions in front of Jugram. "Take your time answering them, details is what i look for." After giving Jugram a few minutes to go over the questions, Kuzan announces, "I know this seems like a lot, but try your best. If you can't answer some questions, or need clarification on any of them, I'm here, so don't feel too pressured."

1) What is a ninja, in your own words?

2) In your own words, explain what is chakra, and who in Narutoverse has chakra.

3) Explain in your own words the basic concept of the three basic ninja skills. (Ninjutsu, Genjutsu, Taijutsu)

4) Which core elements make up the elemental pallet of Narutoverse?

5) What is a Kekkei Genkai?

6) What do hand seals do?

7) Explain in your own words how size, form, mass and characteristics matter just as much as rank and strength when two techniques are used in opposition.

8) What is Nature manipulation, and shape manipulation?

Copy and paste? Never! Also awesome character choice. I'm pissed he lost Fleet Admiral to Sakazuki :|

Jugram followed his senpai quietly as they entered the forest. The forest his senpai had chosen left him breathless. Before him was a beautiful lake. The water just gently moving on the surface due to the waterfall. The sound of the water brought a sense of calm to him. For a second he closed his eyes to fully appreciate the magnificence of it. He felt calm. Yet...powerful. The water itself held a strength below its calm surface. Something to be both loved and feared. After opening his eyes he heard his senpai's first question.

"Thank you for teaching me Aokiji. I am Jugram Haschwalth and yes I have had no prior experience in Water Release until today."

Jugram opened Aokiji's Secret Scroll of Awesome Questions.

"Ninja, or Shinobi, are described by most as tools and military strength of each nation. Most ninja will belong to a hidden village. For example the Leaf or the Cloud villages. Their role in these hidden villages is to execute missions to benefit their nation and village and to maintain peace. Missions carried out by ninja can consist of assassinations, sabotage, escorts, capture missions, and simple reconnaissance. Not all ninja in our world however are loyal to a village. These ninja are known as rogue ninja. The most prominent example of this would be the infamous organization of mercenary ninja - the Akatsuki.

Chakra is the combination of physical and spiritual energies in all sentient beings. Physical energy is the energy and vitality of the body while spiritual energy is that of the mind and spirit. Chakra is used by ninja in both Ninjutsu and Genjutsu and can be used in Taijutsu which takes the form of Nintaijutsu. Chakra is weaponized by ninja when used for these three types of Jutsu which I will explain more in the next question. Chakra can be channeled and molded into techniques. The most basic and obvious of these would be the five elemental transformations. They include Katon, Raiton, Suiton, Fuuton, and Doton. I will explain more on these in the question below as well :p. Chakra, according to legend, is said to have originated from the Juubi, the primordial entity of chakra. The mother of the Sage of the Six Paths was said to have ate a fruit from his true form which allowed her to be the first to use chakra. The anatomy behind chakra is quite interesting. It is created in the belly and spread throughout the body in vein like systems. There are eight regulators of chakra in the body called gates. These are most commonly known as the Eight Inner Gates. Through intensive training one can gain mastery of the gates and use them to enhance their fighting ability. On the chakra vessels are 361 tenketsu. These are portal like structures that allow the release of molded chakra into ninjutsu and genjutsu. The Hyuuga are most famous for their Jyuuken style which targets the Tenketsu and can block them causing the victim to be unable to use their chakra.

All ninja use Jutsu. By definition Jutsu are strategies and tactics. Jutsu encompass three major categories. These are Ninjutsu, Genjutsu, and Taijutsu. Ninjutsu is ninja arts. This type utilizes chakra and molds it into the five basic elemental transformations that I listed above. It can also combine these basic transformations into advanced nature types such as wood release, ice release, and steel release. Genjutsu is also a type of jutsu that uses chakra. However unlike Ninjutsu, Genjutsu focuses on the illusionary arts. It targets the mind instead of the body. All ninjutsu create something physical that can be used to attack or defend. Genjutsu instead targets the mind of an enemy and causes them mental stress and creates illusions in their mind that can have an extremely wind range of effects on them. This ranges from confusion to passing out instantly from extreme pain. Taijutsu is the third and final type of Jutsu. Most forms of Taijutsu do not use chakra. However some rare cases it can - the most prime example of this is the Raikage's lightning armor. This would be called Nintaijutsu. All forms of taijutsu involve hand to hand close quarters combat. The pinnacle of Taijutsu would be the usage of the inner gates within the body to use the muscles in the body to their fullest potential. The most famous taijutsu user I can think of would be Might Gai.

The core elements of our world are Raiton (Lightning Release), Fuuton (Wind Release), Suiton (Water Release), Katon (Fire Release), and Doton (Earth Release). Each of these elements are interrelated in their weaknesses and strengths. For example Katon is strong against wind as wind allows the fire to grow stronger and larger. Yet Katon is weak against Suiton as water naturally puts out fires and cools it. The elements can also be used in conjunction with each other. For example one could combine Suiton and Raiton to add a paralysis effect to their water jutsu. Or one could use Fuuton and Suiton together to increase the concussive force of the water jutsu. The image I have added below is something I always keep close by as a quick reference if I ever need a reminder of how our basic and advanced elements interact with each other.

A kekkei genkai is a bloodline trait. They are unique abilities passed down genetically through clans and families. Probably most famously are the dojutsu kekkei genkais. Dojutsu are eye techniques. These include the Sharingan, Rinnegan, and Byakugan. The Sharingan belongs to the Uchiha clan. The Byakugan to the Hyuuga. The Rinnegan is a legendary dojutsu which is said to be a mutation. It does not belong to one specific clan. The other type of kekkei genkai are the advanced nature transformations. Most ninja cannot mold their elemental chakra into new types. However those who can are able to create very unique elements such as Wood Release and Lava Release.

Hand seals in our world allow us to concentrate and focus our chakra to use our techniques. Without hand seals ninja would have to train much longer and harder to use techniques because they would have to fully become masters of chakra control. This is why with intense training some ninja can become masters and specialists in elements. Masters in our RP allow us to use all techniques of a certain element with one hand seal. Specialist allows us to use all techniques with the same number but faster hand seals. This shows a greater mastery over that type of chakra.

To adequately explain your seventh question I will first begin with an example. If I use Suiton: Bakusui Shoha which is a B-Rank technique against an opponent who uses a small earth shield to defend themselves, yet the earth itself is classified as A-Rank in strength my technique would still defeat them. The quantity of water is just far too great to be defended against with juts an earth shield even though the earth shield is A-Rank and has an elemental advantage over water. Simply put, if one doesn't consider the size and form of a technique when creating their counter they run the risk of being defeated by the size and form of the opponent's jutsu. A similar example would be using a B-ranked water dragon and an opponent defends against it with an A-ranked Rasengan. The Rasengan would lose simply because it is far too small to defend against the dragon. However it is still very important to remember rank interactions when two jutsu clash. If an A-rank suiton jutsu clashes with an S-rank katon jutsu they will both cancel each other out and leave a large amount of steam behind. However if an S-rank suiton jutsu clashes with an S-rank katon jutsu not only will the katon jutsu be cancelled out but the suiton jutsu will continue to the target as a downgraded A-rank suiton. It will also leave a substantial amount of steam behind. It is critical that we incorporate all of these factors into creating a counter.

Nature manipulation is a form of chakra control. As I said above all sentient beings have chakra. However it is how those beings mold their chakra that counts when used as a technique. When I mold by raw chakra I will also decide on the nature I mold it into. Whether it be raiton (by increasing the frequency), doton, Katon (by increasing the heat of my chakra), fuuton (by increasing the precision and speed of my chakra), or suiton. The higher level of this would be using nature manipulation in the advanced nature transformations.

Shape transformation is a very high level form of chakra control which allows the user to shape the chakra and manipulate it. Shape transformation will give your chakra a desired form.

I apologize if I missed anything senpai."

Kuzan stared at his student in awe, amazed with the knowledge he possessed. With a smile on his face, Kuzan replied, "Ni-nicely done. Perfect, even. I especially liked how you mentioned that elemental ninjutsu falls under ninjutsu in general. It literally means ninja techniques, therefore it is the key to completing the things ninja's desire with the use of shape and nature transformation. Adding onto what you said, Genjutsu, otherwise known as illusionary arts. It allows the user to inject their own chakra ot the targets' chakra system, disrupting the normal flow of chakra, which in turn, allows the user to creatively manipulate one to five of the targets' five senses. It's a rather handy skill, most commonly shown by the Uchiha clans. Other than that, i believe you've explained kenjutsu, and taijutsu well enough. As for the hand seals, hand seals are required, by many techniques in order to properly knead chakra for that specific technique. This also requires memorization, making it harder to train with." As he speaks, Kuzan would dig in to his bag and whip out another scroll. With a paintbrush, he would create a drawing of the hand seals that exist and used in techniques. He shows his artwork to his student and explains, "This is the 12 hand signs that exist. Anyways, we'll be using this awesome drawing as a reference for when we encounter techniques that require hand seals. And lastly, i especially loved your explanation for question number 7. I expected you to need help, but you gave a perfect example for it. Nicely done."

Kuzan sends earth chakra towards the area around the waterfall, and soon after, small pillars rise up, joining together to create a makeshift chair of sorts. Without hesitation, he immediately proceeds to pick up Jugram by the collar, and abruptly hurls him towards the pillar, aimed precisely so he'd land around the pillar. "This is part of your training. Climb up that small pillar and meditate (The pillar is under the waterfall) While you're meditating, focus on the properties of water. Focus on water around you in the lake, and water falling from the waterfall. Focus on how it feels making contact with your body. Once you do that, I have a few questions. Tell me why you want to learn water. What makes you interested in learning it? And also, how would water chakra feel/flow? Give me anything and everything you know about water, from its strengths and weaknesses, and combinations with other elements, to Kekkei Genkai's and basically, anything you know about water. I will fill in the gaps that you might be missing. Now, start your meditation. I will be back in six hours. Good luck!" Kuzan walks out and eats at a local ramen restaurant.

Jugram lands quickly after being suddenly thrown into the large lake. He initially sank down to the bottom, shocked by his senpai's level of strength. However upon regaining his composure he began to swim to the surface. Fortunately he found himself near the pillars that his senpai had created. Jugram then focused his chakra into his feet and began to expel it from that point exactly in a constant stream, allowing him to walk on the water just outside of the waterfall.

Rank: E
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short
Chakra cost: 5
Damage points: N/A
Description: This training method is used to gain better chakra control. To do this, the user has to be emitting a constant stream of chakra from the bottom of the their feet and using the repellent force to walk across the water's surface. This technique is more difficult to master than the Tree Climbing Practice, because the amount of chakra that needs to be emitted changes constantly. This technique becomes second nature to shinobi with more practices.
Note: Technique only for use of training methods.

Jugram took hold of the side of the rock pillar and began to climb his way to the chair at the top. As he climbed the splash of the waterfall hit random points on his body, soaking him. At first he felt annoyed with the constant, bothersome stream of water. Yet as he reached closer to the top of the pillar he began to see the lake from a new perspective. Similar to when he had initially arrived at the lake Jugram once again looked in awe. From the pillar he could see the entire lake, the area where he answered his senpai's eight questions, and the surrounding forest. Suddenly that familiar sense of calm overtook him.

Jugram sat down on the top of the pillar and began his meditation. He closed his eyes, sealing off one of his five senses. Suddenly his hearing and smell were amplified. The sound of the waterfall crashing into the water below him. The sound of the gentle waves on the outer banks of the waterfall. He could hear the birds in the forest gently sing as they came toward the lake to take part in its beauty. Jugram suddenly felt at peace. The water striking him, which he found initially bothersome, was no longer a burden to his conscience. Within him he felt a wave like sensation. Almost as if his own body was becoming wave created by the waterfall. Water dripped down his face, refreshing his vitality and invigorating him. It felt cool and smooth. Fluid and quick yet graceful all the same. The sensation not only brought him peace but also an inner strength. A strength that when unleashed could be his most powerful force.

Before he knew it the six hours his senpai had taken to eat ramen had passed. It was almost dreamlike. Yet he knew the lake around him was real. He opened his eyes to see his senpai standing at the edge of the lake.

Jugram climbed down and resumed expelling chakra in a stream from his feet. He walked back to his senpai. He was still overcome by the sense of calm that had taken him 6 hours earlier on the pillar. His entire body felt like a fluid wave. Back and forth. He almost felt like he was swaying in front of his senpai.

"Senpai, I wish to learn water for two reasons. Water is a calm and fluid element. Yet at the same time it possesses great potential for its destructive capability. For a more personal reason I have always been most connected to water. Whenever I visit a body of water it brings a sense of peace and tranquility (both for my character and RL :p). I am interested in learning it because it feels to me as the second most versatile element. Like doton, suiton can be used to defend, attack, and control the terrain of the battlefield.

The chakra of water feels similar to water itself. It flows. It ebbs and flows like the tide of the ocean. It is inertly powerful unlike Raiton and Katon, which are both extremely destructive elements. Water itself is strong against katon, as it naturally cools the fire and puts it out. Yet it is weak against earth because earth naturally contains moisture. Water's destructive power comes from its concussive force. Very few (however there are a few) water jutsu actually pierce through an opponent like raiton. Since water is concussive it can break and smash things. The concussive force can even be increased further by using fuuton in conjunction with it. However one could also use raiton with it to give water a paralyzing effect to it leaving your enemy vulnerable to a follow up attack.

Water is a component with a lot of advanced nature transformations. These include Wood (earth + water), Boil (fire + water), Storm (lightning + water), and Ice (wind + water). In fact it can be mixed with all of the other transformations to create an advanced nature type. The most common water release users are those from Kirigakure. The most famous water user I can immediately think of is the Second Hokage Tobirama Senju. He was capable of forming huge water techniques with no water source immediately available which is an impressive feat given the manipulative nature of Suiton. Suiton itself at times requires a water source which can make suiton somewhat situation. However many of the jutsu can just create water from the user's mouth."

"Once again, nicely done." Kuzan congratulated, not as surprised as last time as he did expect something like this. "You've covered many points and I was rather glad to see you mentioning the combination between wind and water, something many usually leave out. You are correct that it is a versatile element, and part of the reason is because it works well with other elements. Together with fire, it creates super hot, boiling water and possibly even steam, giving you a set up for combinations or sneak attacks. With wind, it empowers the brute force the water can exert by adding speed and momentum, or applying sharp characteristics to certain water techniques with the use of wind chakra. Working together with earth, water is in play mostly in mud, where it speeds up the muds' movement. And alas, with lightning, capable of electrocuting the enemy because it travels through water, perhaps the most workable element with water." Kuzan waits a few seconds, allowing the student to absorb the information he's just been told, and continues. "Hm, you seem to have an already solid understanding of water. Now, I'd like to inform you that water element techniques come in different forms. It's extremely versatile because it comes in different forms. These forms include Water, Mist, Oil, Solidified water (with a higher density), and sticky glue-like water. Lastly, when fighting with using water, take into account that water is not very fast. It's pretty slow, compared to lightning and wind, and you'd need to be familiarized with the different ways to use the water element to use it efficiently. If you do not know much about it yet, fret not. This is why we're undergoing training!"

Kuzan reaches into his ninja pocket, taking out a square piece of blank paper. "So, let's go back to how you describe water, and how you think water chakra flows. You suggested that it was a majestic element, giving off a sense of tranquility. Remember that feeling when water pounded onto your body, when you were under the waterfall. Remember the fluidity of water and how versatile it was, how its not the most dense chakra out there, that 'wet/damp' feeling of chakra. Now, think of that as you channel chakra into that single piece of paper. As you may or may not know, this small piece of paper reacts to certain elemental chakra." Extending his hand outwards, Kuzan gives Jugram the chakra paper and continued to explain. "Send your chakra there and perform nature transformation, try thinking of the wet and fluid properties of water when trying to channel water chakra. If done correctly, the paper should dampen from where you're holding it. Alright, if you need any assistance, don't hesitate to ask. We'll continue with the techniques after this is done correctly."

Your image in the spoiler broken. Just as a heads up :p.

Jugram took the paper from his senpai and look at it intently.

"Of course, senpai."

Jugram went back to the recent memory of him meditating on the pillar underneath the waterfall. Since his experience was so recent he was already inwardly calm. Still drenched in water, it allowed him to gain a deeper connection with the idea of the element he was studying under Aokiji.

He closed his eyes, paper in hand. Jugram focused his hearing on the water and the waterfall. The lake bringing back the feeling of calm waves that ebb and flow on the bank. There were no sudden actions within. All was calm. The tranquility flooded back in him and the sensation of swaying began again. His wet clothes kept his body cool, representing slow moving water. Unlike Raiton and Katon which would have had him invigorated and excited, Suiton kept him calm.

Upon reaching this peak of inner tranquility Jugram focused his chakra into his hand where the chakra paper was. He could feel the wet, swaying wave sensation travel up his arm as it went from tenketsu to tenketsu in the chakra vessels. It was not a dense feeling. It was fluid and graceful. The sensation provided him strength and confidence. Finally when it reached his hand began to feel the paper become slightly heavier. Jugram opened his eyes and saw the paper bend over from gaining a slight amount of weight from becoming wet.

"Well senpai...it looks like I have an affinity for water."

Jugram showed a grin on his face. The sensation of tranquility had not yet left him. The sway of the water still resonated within his mind.

"I'm pleased to know you are able to utilize water chakra properly. Now, we can proceed with the actual learning." Kuzan walks near the lake, ordering Jugram to follow him. "This first technique is the basic water technique. It's incredibly simple and should be easy to perform. We're going to explore this technique to the fullest. There's three different ways you can use this, one is to create small waves of water in an already existing water source, another is to create a blast of water, and the last is to create a small shield. This technique does not require a water source, but you're able to use a water source if you'd like, especially when you create a wave." Kuzan opens his palms and creates a small sphere of water, in which he'd manipulate to be sent outwards and towards the waterfall, dispersing upon contact. "As you can see, it's not very strong. Don't worry, we'll get to the stronger ones eventually. Okay, i want you to channel chakra to your hands and perform nature transformation by incorporating the properties of water when you're manipulating your chakra. Once you do that, i want you to materialize water from your hands with the use of the newly modified water chakra. With shape manipulation, shape it into a sphere, a small one and send it towards the waterfall as a blast of water. Follow it up with the same procedures, but instead of keeping the chakra in your hands, send it on the lake in front of you. Once you do that, the water chakra would allow you to control the water source and with shape manipulation, shape it into a wave of water that travels towards the waterfall. And Lastly, create a shield of water to form on your arm by sending water chakra on that area you'd like and materializing it from thin air. Once the water is created, perform shape manipulation to shape it into a shield, whatever shape you'd like but just make sure it looks like a shield, aha." Kuzan causes the water he created to disperse to allow the student to perform it himself. "Once you do that, tell me how you'd use this in battle creatively. Remember, this technique isn't meant for offensive all too much because it doesn't pack a punch, so using it creatively would be beneficial, and for a technique like this, I would like to ask for one advantage and one disadvantage."

"Of course senpai."

Jugram held his palm out and cupped his hand. Once again he sent his chakra down through his arm and felt the same familiar tranquil sensation from earlier. As before, it felt fluid and calm as it traveled up his chakra pathways. It was graceful yet strong at the same time. He could feel his chakra forming into water chakra through his use of nature transformation. It gave him a calm feeling. When the chakra finally reached his hand he could feel his tenketsu release the newly created water chakra. Immediately he willed it through his shape transformation to become a small sphere of water. It rested there gently in his hand. He then sent it with his chakra toward the waterfall and watched it disappeared as it reunited with the crashing waters.

Next Jugram created more water chakra and continued by creating an additional orb in the same hand. This time instead of directing it at the waterfall he would send it directly into the lake. The sphere rose with his chakra and was sent forward. Upon connecting with the lake Jugram felt a powerful connection with his chakra. He could manipulate the water in the lake with his chakra. The sensation was incredible. A water source already created for him that was free to be manipulated. The possibilities were almost endless. Shortly after this realization he began to focus on creating a wave in the water. Jugram imagined the ebb and flow of the water. The swaying motions it created. Then a wave formed in front of his feet at the end of the lake. It was a wave that was slightly larger than those created by the base of the waterfall. It moved slightly faster as well. He sent it directly at the water fall, watching it crash into other waves moving in the opposite direction on the way there.

Next Jugram began to again focus his chakra in his arm while imagining the calm and tranquil waters. With newly created water chakra Jugram sent it into his arm tenketsu and was released in the form of a round shield. Jugram released the chakra causing the shield to fall apart and fall back into the lake.

"Despite the low concussive force of this technique it is still extremely versatile. Creatively I could use it as a distraction, sending small water blasts at my opponent while throwing a smoke bomb at my feet to use a different technique of another element, such as hiding like a mole or I could create a clone and transform myself into a kunai without their knowledge. I could have the clone take hold of me, now transformed into a Kunai, and throw it near my enemy while the clone charged at them. I could then transform back and deal a devastating up close blow with another kunai, my sword, or another jutsu. The possibilities with distractions are almost endless. Of course I can also use the technique to block minor fire jutsu and create small amounts of steam with that.

I do have one question senpai. Above you used it to manipulate the lake. In a battle is a prerequisite to manipulating an existing body of water transferring your chakra to that water through this technique? Or can it be done simply through will and transferring your chakra there?

This technique's disadvantages are clearly laid out. It has no concussive force and as such can't really be used offensively. It can be easily blocked by other higher ranked jutsu and unfortunately the size of the water created isn't very great so it would be hard to beat out a higher ranked jutsu with such a small technique, even if there is an elemental advantage.

However there are advantages. As I said above I could use this technique as a distraction for my enemy. Also using it as a shield of water to block fire techniques is good as well. As long as the size of the incoming fire technique isn't too huge the shield can block C-ranked fire jutsu and be cancelled out with it. Another excellent factor about the shield is that it materializes on your arm allowing you to still form hand seals and perform additional jutsu. Finally the technique is also very chakra efficient, costing only 10 chakra. So with creative use this technique could easily be very rewarding given its chakra cost."

"Magnificent. I love how you incorporated question number 7 when answering the questions for this technique; once again, nicely done. You have the right idea, using it as a distraction is wiser than an all out offensive technique since it isn't as strong as it could be. A suggestion would be aiming for the eye and face in general, while they're running which is bound to block their vision. But, when using this battle, remember it's a basic technique therefore you wouldn't be able to create intricate and complex objects with it; you can create a plethora of useful things with this, but make sure it doesn't go over its boundaries. That technique can create any basic items within reason, just use logic when in battle." Kuzan then steps back, ten meters from the student. Before moving on, Kuzan thought of the answer for the students' question and soon replied, "Ah, i see the misconception. No, you don't have to throw the sphere at the water to create the wave. You simply send the water chakra on the water and manipulate the water to create waves with the use of shape manipulation. Think about it as three different techniques, 1) Creating blasts, 2) Waves, 3) shields. So, they act as individual techniques but fall under the same basic water technique."

Now ten meters away, Kuzan explains the following technique. "This technique requires you to send chakra towards your mouth and with the use of nature transformation, change the nature of the chakra to the properties of water. Once done, I'd like you to expel it from your mouth in the form of thick mist, thick enough so that both of us would have no vision of each other. This is done by manipulating the properties of the water you're expelling to that of the properties of mist, and expelling it in large quantities so that it would appear to be thick mist. Alternatively, You can use an existing water source by sending water chakra and manipulating the already-present water source to have some water rise up, and as it rises, transform into mist by changing the properties of the water to that of mist; another variant of water we spoke about. I'd like you to perform it, both ways, and give me advantages and disadvantages. How would you use this in battle to set up combinations and sneak attacks?" Kuzan finished, stepping down and resting on a large boulder conveniently located on his side.

(Kirigakure No Jutsu) - Hidding in Mist Jutsu
Rank: D
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short-Long
Chakra Cost: 10
Damage Points: N/A
Description: This displacement technique creates a thick mist to spring forth by lifting up some water from either a pre-existing source or expelled from their mouth, then goes in and out of sight at will from within the pearly-white realm. The mist's thickness is controlled by the amount of chakra kneaded into it. It can't fool the Byakugan, but, due to the mist being created with the user's chakra, any Sharingan and Rinnegan-user will see the mist coloured by their opponent's chakra, which will effectively hide the user from the dōjutsu.
Note: Can be created through releasing from mouth or manipulating a nearby water source.

"Of course senpai."

Jugram began focusing his chakra once again. This time he began focusing it in his lungs. He allowed himself to get lost in the same feeling of tranquility. However as he had become more accustomed to it his ability to mold the water chakra was beginning to speed up ever so slightly. Soon he felt the same tranquil and calm sensations he did in his arms in his lungs. However this time he added in some heat to his chakra molding allowing his water technique to take the form of mist. Finally he opened his mouth and unleashed the thick mist. It wasn't long before his field of view was gone and his senpai was completely shrouded in mist.

Once finished, Jugram decided that in order to show his senpai the next method of using this technique he had to first get rid of this one. As Jugram had not yet began his fuuton training he began blowing on the mist itself as if he was blowing out a candle.

Once the mist had cleared Jugram allowed his lungs to rest. He then began to focus his water chakra on the lake. This time he did the same as he did in his lungs. He increased the temperature of his water chakra so as to create the mist. It was still water and by no means was the water chakra mixed with fire chakra (as this would have created boil release). But it was high enough that instead of coming out as a stream of water it would form mist. Soon enough Jugram's second mist was created, this time from the lake itself. It rose into the air and once again shrouded him and his senpai.

After the mist cleared, Jugram began to speak.

The advantages of this technique are very clear. The first and most obvious is that this technique conceals you from your opponent. The good thing about this is that since the mist is created from your own chakra you are able to sense your opponent in the thick mist. Allowing you to create precise attacks on him instead of forcing you to stumble around in the mist yourself as well. Another advantage is that once again since the mist is made of your chakra it will completely fool Sharingan users and Rinnegan users. Since both of these dojutsu allow the user to see chakra they will just see a blanket of your chakra instead of being able to pinpoint your exact location. And similarly to the previous jutsu we practiced this jutsu is extremely chakra efficient allowing you to confuse your opponent for a low chakra taxing ability. Using this jutsu one can string together other attacks to surprise your opponent, such as hiding like a mole (I apologize for using this example twice xD).

Of course there are disadvantages. There is a third dojutsu - the Byakugan. The Byakugan, unlike the Sharingan and Rinnegan, can pierce through the mist as it can see through objects and chakras. This means that using this jutsu against a byakugan user is completely useless. Another disadvantage is that it is easily dispelled. Your enemy could just use a high level fuuton ability to blow away the wind and even possibly hit you if they were lucky enough to strike at you. However high level fuuton abilities can have a large danger area so it would become easier to hit you even with luck.

In a battle this would be one of the first jutsu I use against a dojutsu user (unless they hold the Byakugan). Disabling their dojutsu is critical, especially the sharingan. However to chain this with attacks I would use this and then sneak up on them in close range and finish them with freeform. I could also use this and create clones to attack my opponent from multiple directions. You could also use to perform quick follow ups with Raiton to paralyze the enemy so they cannot continue their efforts to locate you. And since they will be blinded you could also use doton to displace your enemy which will surprise them even more as they cannot see their surroundings nor where you are."

(Fūton: Kiryū Ranbu) - Wind Release: Air Current Wild Dance
Rank: S
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short - Long
Chakra Cost: 40 (-5 per turn)
Damage Points: N/A
Description: After making the Rat handseal, the user creates and controls air currents from the palms of their hands, forming a large field of raging air currents and gusting winds. The technique expands quickly, rapidly spanning through all of the battle field, gathering debris, dust and other small particles in its path. The technique effectively creates a very large controllable "dust" storm.
Note: Lasts 3 turns or until released.

Kuzan with the use of a single hand seal, would generate and enhance the air currents around the area, easily causing the thick mist to disperse within seconds, revealing the two shinobi in the training grounds. "You seem to have a good understanding of this technique, however, there is one flaw. You cannot sense enemies or anything within the mist. You see, techniques that sense chakra or anything within it generally requires a constant supply of chakra to keep the chakra sensing techniques going, and this technique doesn't. The chakra just creates the mist, nothing more nothing less." Kuzan stands on the side of the lake and stops the wind currents, making the battlefields calm once again. "Adding onto that, i'd like to note that when you're inside the mist, a major drawback would be, depending on how thick you make it, you would also be unable to see. Therefore, that would hinder your performance in battle and allow the target to sneakily approach you as well, making it a double edged sword. You should be cautious when using this technique because it comes with great rewards if executed successfully, but if it backfires, you may be put in a bad position."

Kuzan stands firmly on the ground, still ten meters away from the student. "This technique is incredibly simple. Gather chakra on either of your hands and channel it on your palms. With nature transformation, i want you to change the nature of your chakra into the properties of water. Once doing so, materialize water from your palms, and have it grow outwards, growing in height from your closed fist. With the use of shape manipulation, i want you to shape it into a sword, the size up to you but it has to be logical, of course." Grabbing a single training dummy, Kuzan pitches it on the ground, about 5 meters from you. "Once you materialize it at its full length and shape it to your desire shape, manipulate the nature of the water into a solidified state, one of the various states water comes in. Then, run up to that training dummy and practice using it like a normal sword. Keep in mind, it's not as strong and it won't deal severe and fatal blows if the enemy is struct by it, but it should have the power to stab nonetheless. Once you're done, give me advantages, disadvantages, and some combinations you can use with it." Kuzan stands and analyzes his students' performance.

Jugram begins creating new chakra through the molding of his spiritual and physical energy. Then with Nature Transformation he once again quickly recalled the sensation of the waterfall and the tranquil peace it brought him. He was able to mold it even faster now as he grew more and more used to the nature of the suiton chakra. With his new suiton chakra he focused it in his hands and released it with his hand tenketsu. Then swiftly applying shape transformation he formed it into a 40 inch long longsword. With the sword initially created he then increased the density of the water, allowing the sword to take on a more solid state and appearance granting it cutting and stabbing abilities. Jugram then walked into range of the training dummy and lunged the sword through it, showing off his new sword's stabbing ability. Then withdrawing it from the hole in the training dummy he swung it down and slashed it across the length of its body. The blows left on the training dummy were not severe. The hole left from his stabbing though could easily damage muscle tissue in an opponent with a direct hit. Slashes however would not be very effective. Once he finished Jugram released the chakra from his hand, allowing the water to fall to the ground.

"Well Aokiji-senpai, that sword is certainly is simple yet has potential to be used in some clever combinations. The advantage to this sword is that it is a D-rank technique and requires very little chakra. The low chakra cost makes it a nice makeshift weapon for when you enter close range to an opponent and need a quick weapon to use against them. In its solidified form it can block kunai and other basic swords. And if proper stabs are made can easily wound your opponent and cause great damage to limbs, muscle, and fibers in the body. Potentially disabling them and hindering their ability to fight.

The disadvantage to this is that like all other d-rank techniques it is easily blocked and countered. A D-Rank earth technique would overpower it while a C-ranked fire technique would cancel it completely. It is also a short range weapon. However that isn't necessarily a disadvantage in all cases. Just it makes using this jutsu anywhere outside of short range completely useless.

One potentially strong combination is that you can use it in conjunction with lightning chakra and jutsu such as Chidori. By adding lightning chakra to the sword you will give it a paralysis effect. So with this paralysis effect you wouldn't even have to directly stab your opponent (though that is certainly better) but just basic strikes on their body parts will cause the lightning chakra to disperse into their body causing numbness, pain, and paralysis (depending on the strength of the raiton)."

OOC: Makes me wish there was a canon jutsu similar to this but higher ranked so I can fight like Borsalino except with water :|

"Overall, not a bad explanation. Though, you did mess up on one part. The combinations, i personally don't believe it can be used like that, along with Chidori. You see, water is a conductor of lightning, however, you'd be making physical contact with the water, and by channeling lightning into the water, you'd electrocute yourself before dealing any damage to your enemy which would hinder you in battle even more." With that said, Kuzan approaches his student ready to teach the next technique.

Creating a sword on his hand, made out of water as well, he begins to explain the next subject. "This one would look awesome with the next technique we'll be learning! Basically, i want you to channel chakra throughout one of your arms, and perform nature transformation to change the nature of your chakra to the fluid/wet properties of water. One done, i want you to materialize water from your arms with the use of your water chakra. Once the needed water is materialize, shape it immediately to a shield." Kuzan performs a few horizontal practice slashes as he continues to explain the rest of the technique. "Anyways, you can shape it depending on the size of the projectile you're defending against, within reason of course. It's a relatively weak technique, therefore you would be unable to defend against strong projectile based elemental techniques. Keep in mind the size of the projectile you're defending against, you don't want to overestimate the shields abilities. For this technique, i'm going to attack you with my water sword and i want you to defend accordingly, sounds good? And afterwards, give me advantages, disadvantages, and what kind of things you'd defend against with this shield!" Kuzan doesn't wait for an answer, and instead, proceeds to slash randomly, hoping that his student would successfully defend against his offense.

Seeing his senpai charge at him Jugram immediately molded his water chakra and released it from the tenketsu in his arm. He didn't have time to contemplate on the tranquility of the water. Instead he allowed his calm composure to assist him in that allowing him to maintain some balance of tranquility and urgency. With that he said, "Suiton: Junsai no Jutsu!". Immediately afterwards water chakra was released from his tenketsu on his arm allowing him to shape it into a kite shield. He then solidified his shield creating dense water.

His eyes followed his senpais sword. He slashed downward left to right from Jugram's perspective. Jugram raised his shield to guard his front, blocking his senpai's sword. Since both techniques were D-Ranked Suiton techniques the block would cause the sword and shield to be destroyed from the clash. The swing his senpai took at him left him feeling somewhat winded.

"What great strength...." he thought.

"This shield provides adequate defense for its low chakra cost and strength. The advantage of this technique once again lies in its chakra cost efficiency. With creative use the user can defend against incoming attacks easily. These include (as they are listed in the technique) basic low level taijutsu, and projectiles. These projectiles would include kunai and shuriken - as long as they are not enhanced with raiton or fuuton chakra. The shield can also defend against D-Rank fire (and C-Rank fire) and wind projectiles. Against a D-Rank earth projectile this shield would fail as earth holds the elemental advantage. Though the earth itself would be downgraded to an E-Rank attack so it wouldn't cause much harm depending on its shape.

The disadvantage is that the shield is low ranked so higher ranked techniques will easily destroy it and continue on to strike me, albeit slightly weaker. Also even if the attack is low ranked and on paper can be defended against with the shield, if the shape and size outclass the shield itself it will lose regardless of its slight advantages.

One must also be careful when using this shield against Raiton jutsu. Since the shield is attached to your arm it will make for a good conductor for the lightning causing you to risk being paralyzed and lose use of your arm or something much worse. Additionally any kunai or shuriken enhanced with wind or lightning chakra will easily be able to pierce through the shields defenses and strike at me, possibly causing fatal damage.

I do have one question...what is the difference between the shields created by this technique and those created with Suiton no Jutsu?"

"To answer your question, they are essentially the same technique, capable of defending against the same kinds in accordance to elemental strengths and weaknesses. However, the one with the suiton no jutsu is smaller than the actual water shield jutsu! Nicely done, by the way."

"Alright, we are now at C-ranks. Techniques in this category is slightly stronger than the last, of course, and requires more chakra and skill to mold. The first one is quite simple." Kuzan takes out the portrait of the twelve hand seals he painted earlier, and displayed it in front of him. "This will be our friend for the majority of the training. I want you to perform these hand seals." As he said those words, Kuzan would point at three different hand seals, Rat, Dog, and Ox. He continues to explain, while showing Jugram how the hand seals are performed as an example. "As you are making the hand seals, gather your chakra into either of your hands, while performing nature transformation by changing the nature of your chakra into the properties of water. Once you do that, use your water chakra to materialize water in your hands, causing it to grow from your grip into a line of water, where you'd use shape manipulation to change to shape it into an actual whip." Kuzan plants a single training dummy on the training grounds, seven meters in front of the student. "Alright, practice with the rope on lashing the training dummy and try to wrap the rope around the dummy, pulling it off from the ground. Something handy about this technique is it allows you to channel certain lightning techniques through the rope to electrocute the enemy, adding onto the damage, however, keep in mind you'd be holding the water as well so i'd avoid making too much body contact with the whip ones its enhanced with lightning. Once your done, give me advantages, disadvantages, and how you would use this offensively in battle."

Description: After the user performs a series of 3 hand seals Rat → Dog → Ox, the user creates a whip of water that can be used to strike the opponent with a lashing action or wrap around the target to bind them. This technique can also have lightning techniques channeled through when they have bound their victim with the water whip.
"Alright, moving on." Kuzan said, as he walked to the side, avoiding the area where the training dummy would be located. "This next technique is incredibly useful in battle and if used by the right person, would be a wonderful asset. It requires two hand seals only, Ram and Tiger." Kuzan taught, as he pointed at the two hand seals on the portrait while performing it himself as an example. "Anyways, see this whole lot of area around me? I want you to perform nature transformation on your chakra while performing those hand seals. Once you do that, use your chakra to spit out water from your mouth. As it exits, change the nature of the water to one of the many forms of water, in this case, sticky/glue like water. It comes out as a stream, so you can aim it at wherever you'd like, like the ground, a person, an eye, anywhere you can reach or have time to do. However, when you're using this, make sure you keep the timing into consideration because the amount of sticky water you can produce depends on how much time the enemy allows you to have before attacking. By channeling chakra on the soles of your feet, you can walk through the sticky water, similar to the walking on water you should have learned in the academy. Alas, perform it, give me advantages and disadvantages, and how would you use this skillfully in battle; Since it's not necessarily an offensive technique. Kuzan channels chakra on his feet, ready to walk through a field of sticky, glue like water.

(Suiton: Mizuame Nababara) - Water Style: Starch Syrup Capture Field
Rank: C
Range: Short/Long
Chakra Cost: 15
Damage Points: N/A
Description: The user After performing the required hand seals Ram → Tiger spits out high-viscosity, chakra infused water, aimed at a surface of wide scope. This is a stream of sticky liquid which can be used to form an adhesive trap that can inhibit a person's mobility. One can effectively reduce their enemy's area of activity with this technique, and has the effect of being able to take complete control over the battlefield. The normal scope of this technique is normally just a few metres, but if prepared, it is also possible to make an entire pond of starch syrup. Being caught in the technique can be avoided by channelling chakra to one's feet allowing one to walk upon it uninhibited, beforehand.
"Moving on, another simple technique that is useful when used in battle strategically. Perform one hand seal, the tiger hand seal. Like usual, Kuzan would perform the tiger hand seal to act as an example for his student. "Channel chakra on the water source to your left, and with the use of your chakra, perform nature transformation to change the nature of it to the properties of water that would allow you to freely manipulate the water source. Once you do that, begin to manipulate the water and have it rise up. This technique relies heavily on shape manipulation; shape it into your body size, height, size, physical traits, every small detail. Focus on that, how you look like physically, and apply those features to the clone. The clone as you can guess, is used mainly to perform combinations. However, it is only able to perform C-rank or under techniques and leaving short-range from you would make it disperse into normal water. Now, give me advantages, disadvantages, and how you would use this in battle with combinations and such."

Jugram began weaving the hand seals Rat → Dog → Ox. These allowed him to focus and concentrate his chakra and use his nature transformation to convert it to water chakra. Then he released the water chakra through his tenketsu in his hands and applied his shape transformation allowing it to become a 2 meter long whip in his left hand. Further using his shape transformation he hardened the water and increased its density giving it whip like qualities. Jugram then focused his eyes on the training dummy before him while maintain the water whip in his hand. He rose his arm and hand up and brought it down, cracking it down upon the dummy. It struck the dummy and lashed it, knocking it back. If it had been a human he had used this on they would of been in severe pain, possibly bleeding for the lash of the whip. Then Jugram raised his arm again and swung the whip in a left to right motion allowing it to wrap around the dummy. Once wrapped Jugram further pulled to bind it tighter. Once the whip was secured around the dummy Jugram proceeded to pull back and rip the dummy from the ground and above his head. Once above his head the whip loosened and allowed the dummy to free fall from above.

This technique can also have lightning techniques channeled through when they have bound their victim with the water whip.

"Well senpai this technique is definitely useful. It definitely has advantages to its use. Its lashing ability alone would inflict painful damage in a direct hit leaving an opponent bleeding and in pain which could distract them. Additionally the binding ability of the whip can be used to prevent an opponent from using hand seals and weapons leaving them vulnerable to a follow up attack. And as you said yourself, you can channel lightning through it which would paralyze them and cause significant nerve damage, especially if it is tightly wound on their body. For a whip that can bind it is also quite chakra efficient. And since the water is composed of chakra, the basic E-Rank ninjutsu that can be used to escape rope.

There are significant disadvantages as well. Just like how you can channel lightning through it, so could an enemy who is bound to it. For example, if an opponent who can use Chidori Nagashi unleashes will also have it channeled through the water whip back to the user, inflicting the same damage that you could have done to them.

To use it offensively in battle I would try to distract my opponent before binding them. I could use a flash bomb prior to its use and close my eyes, timing the flash bomb properly so I myself don't get blinded by its explosion. Then while they are suffering from the effects I could bind them quickly and follow up with another attack. Whether it be a raiton channeled through the water whip, or a different jutsu."

After completing his first task, Jugram dispersed the water whip and moved on to his next technique. First before beginning he began to also channel chakra through his feet so to prepare for the Starch Syrup Capture Field. Once again he prepared to weave his hand seals beginning with Ram and ending with Tiger. Jugram then used nature transformation to create more water chakra. Once the water chakra was created he then used his shape manipulation to change it to become very viscous and glue like. He aimed the stream directly in front of his sensei. He continued to release this stream until it created a small pond of the thick, glue like water.

"Well senpai, this technique definitely has potential if used correctly. The advantages to this technique is that as the technique clearly states it will limit their mobility in the thick water which will allow the attacker to more easily set up follow up attacks without having to worry about their opponent moving too far from their trapped location. Another good thing about this technique is that if the person being trapped isn't prepared beforehand and they do not channel chakra through their own feet then they can't really easily escape from it.

The disadvantages are also clearly stated. If the timing isn't done properly then only a small amount of water can actually be created which really won't limit an enemy all that well. I will answer how to compensate for this in the next question. Also, an enemy can easily escape from the water if they blast themselves into the air using a fuuton ability or by creating a pillar using doton. Though if they are bound by another ability and unable to do this then escape will be very difficult.

To use this skillfully in battle I would want to first bind my opponent or distract them. As I said using water whip I could easily use a flash bomb and then bind them with the whip. Then I could use this jutsu. Since they would be bound I would have ample time to unleash a pond of the thick water. Then to finish them off I could channel a very strong raiton jutsu into the water (assuming I myself wasn't standing inside of it). If the raiton didn't kill them it would leave them paralyzed and extremely vulnerable to a follow up technique used in a later turn."

Jugram then moved to the side, away from the pond of water infused chakra he had created. Jugram once again formed the tiger hand seal and transformed his chakra into water chakra. He then sent this water chakra into the lake next to him and willed the chakra to rise. While it rose from the lake he began to focus on the shape transformation. He used his own image of himself as a guide to the creation. Making its height and weight exactly like Jugram's. He gave him the same long blonde hair that Jugram had and the same ocean blue eyes. He then had the water form into the clothes he was wearing. Equipping him in his trade mark white trench coat, white pants, and white shoes. After a few seconds the clone finished taking shape.

"Personally senpai I have been very excited to learn this technique. The Mizu Bunshin is a great technique to chain combinations with. The advantages to this technique are that it is a clone and as such can be used to distract your opponent without any fear of damage being done to you as long as the scale of the attack is only focused at the clone. The clone can as well perform C-rank and below suiton jutsu. This allows you to use other techniques of other elemental transformations in order to create clever and deadly combinations. The clone is also chakra efficient, costing only 15 chakra. I could for example have my clone use Suiton: Taihoudan and then use a raiton in combination with it to deal more damage to my opponent and paralyze them. I could also use a fuuton to increase the concussive force behind the water causing my opponent's bones to break and cause significant trauma. The clone can also be used to use the Water Prison technique, trapping an enemy inside and leaving them very vulnerable.

There are disadvantages to this technique. The first and most obvious is that the clone must stay within short range of me. If I go out of short range of the clone I'll lose control and it will disperse back into the water. Another disadvantage is that the Mizu Bunshin no Jutsu requires a water source. So if I am on a battle field with no water source I will be unable to create one. However, this disadvantage can be counteracted. For example, I can use Suiton: Suishōha or a much larger scale water jutsu to create myself a water source. Then I can use Mizu Bunshin and continue with my planned combinations.

I already listed a few combinations above but I will list more again. With Mizu Bunshin as I said I can combine suiton and fuuton or raiton easily, causing much more damage to my opponent. I could also have my clone use other jutsu that are supplementary to me, such as Suiton: Ukojizai no Jutsu while I use other jutsu against my opponent. Basically the use of a clone to use multiple attacks will allow me to make quicker combinations as well. Reducing the amount of time I have in between jutsu. I could also get in close range of my opponent with this jutsu and attempt to trap them using the water whip and then complete the capture with Water Prison.

I do have a couple of questions regarding the usage of clones. First, only four clones can be created at one time or is it four clones maximum per battle? Second, as I see in the jutsu description it says 1/10th of my chakra will be given to the clone. When the clone is killed does that chakra return to me assuming the clone did not expend all of the chakra through techniques?"

"Nicely done, though a few concerns. As for the water whip, keep in mind that water relies on its brute force to deal the damage, not the cutting part. Therefore, i believe if used in a human, it would create bruises and physical damage rather than cause it to bleed, of course this depends between situations. And to answer your lasts questions, you can only create it three times per battle, and four clones per any given time! and no, it does not come back to you so use it wisely."

"Follow me, Jugram." Kuzan ordered, as he made his way towards the water
source, channeling water chakra on the soles of his feet allowing him to walk on water. "This technique we will be learning requires a water source, something that is pretty common in water techniques. Perform nature transformation on normal chakra, changing the properties of your chakra into the properties of water. Once you do that, send it through the water, and with water chakra channeled through it, it would allow you to manipulate the water by will. Skillfully perform shape manipulation on the already existing water to have it rise up a few meter. Once you do that, shape it further by creating a slightly pointed tip, and use your chakra to manipulate the waters to revolve around in a spinning motion, adding momentum and force when you decide to attack." Kuzan performs a single hand seal to create a clone, and orders it to move five meters in front of Jugram. "Alright, perform this technique and aim it towards my clone. I want you to aim at vital points that the technique can reach, keep in mind its small in size so it's not going to reach his head, but aim at spots that would hinder it in battle, if this was an actual battle. It's pretty useful because you can have it attack from behind, to the side, etc, but keep in mind, the range is rather short. You would not be able to keep control of it if your opponent is farther than short-range. Anywho, get to performing it and tell me advantages, disadvantages, and how you would use this skillfully in battle. Also, please tell me a quick reasoning as to why you chose those areas to attack my clone. Proceed!" Kuzan sits down on a meditative stance, watching the student from afar.

(Suiton: Suigandan) - Water Release: Water Fang Bullet
Rank: C
Range: Short
Type: Offense
Chakra Cost: 15
Damage Points: 30
Description: A technique that deals physical damage to the enemy with a liquid mass brought forth from underwater. Its power to kill and maim is augmented by adding a spinning motion to the compactly pressured water. During fights on water, taking advantage of its characteristic ability to attack from anywhere in a 360 degrees radius, in conjunction with other techniques for distraction, confusion and so forth, this technique has an extensive array of applications.
Note: Requires a water source.
Kuzan then proceeds to walk back to the water source after analyzing the students' display of the first technique.
"Alright the following technique is fairly simple, but not as simple as the ones that we've seen. It's only more complicated because you wouldn't really know whether or not your opponent is actually blinded. Alright. Start out with making a mist, a fairly thick mist in my area. Once you do that, perform nature transformation and change the nature of your chakra into the properties of water, making it compatible with water molecules and such. Once you do that, send it to certain parts of the mist, and manipulate the mist to reflect the light from the sun to hit the enemy, blinding them in the process. Of course, you'd need to give a certain amount of chakra to maintain the blindness, but it isn't an excessive amount of chakra therefore, it shouldn't affect your chakra cost too much. You may begin." Kuzan simply stands in place, waiting for the mist to appear. "Once you do that, give me advantages, disadvantages, and how you would follow up with this technique, combination-wise of course."

Suiton: Kirigakure Shiryoku Hakudatsu) - Water Release: Hidden Mist Eye Sight Deprevation
Rank: C
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra cost: 15(-3 each turn to keep it active)
Damage Points: N/A
Description: Using the hidden mist jutsu the user reflects the natural light an a way that it blinds there opponent temporarily as long as the opponent is in the mist.
Note: Must have already used hidden mist jutsu
"And alas, we reach the final technique. Incredibly useful in my eyes. Manipulate your normal chakra and perform nature transformation to change the nature of it into the properties of water. Once you do that, clap your hands together and send the chakra outwards, releasing it in the air around you. Once you do that, you are able to materialize water from thin air, and with shape manipulation, shape it into a vortex/tornado of water and shape it around you so that you are not affected. When using this technique, be extremely careful. You block vision of yourself, therefore, it would make you vulnerable to sneak attacks, and considering that you are inside a tornado of water, you may be vulnerable to lightning techniques coming from below." Kuzan then performs a single hand seal while creating a gap between the two shinobi's, about a ten meter gap. "Once i send out this fire projectile towards you, erect the water tornado. Keep in mind it would be a large amount of water therefore the top part of the vortex would cascade downwards in the form of a large wave, and the wave would proceed to attack the target, harming them with brute force. The size of the tornado depends on how much chakra you put in it, of course. Use this to defend against the fireball, and as an offensive action as well, it's extremely useful. Anyways, give me advantages, disadvantages, and how you would use it in battle offensively once you are done." Kuzan then releases a single dragons head-shaped flame projectile.

Jugram begins after stepping out onto the water by molding his spiritual and physical energies together once again. Once completed he focuses his new chakra into suiton chakra and releases it into the lake. With this complete he then uses very detailed shape transformation. He spins the water and compacts it so as to increase the water pressure. Then he shapes it so to have a somewhat pointed top to. Jugram then aims the technique at his senpai's clone. Jugram decides to aim it at his senpai's clone's femoral artery (located in the thigh). Additionally the impact would cause damage to the clone's hamstrings, hindering its mobility.

During fights on water, taking advantage of its characteristic ability to attack from anywhere in a 360 degrees radius, in conjunction with other techniques for distraction, confusion and so forth, this technique has an extensive array of applications.

"To begin with senpai the advantages of this technique are very clearly laid out. As the description and you have said this technique can be performed in a 360 degree radius around my opponent. This allows for some very power combinations. Additionally the water is pressurized and pointed so it does have some piercing power and concussive force as well. The piercing power can be used to land fatal damage on specific areas of the lower half of the body. As well as possibly break bones and muscles. With a proper combination one could easily kill their opponent or at the very least maim them.

The main disadvantage to this technique is that you must be in short range of your opponent. This means getting in close for some freeform sword/kunai use as well as other close range jutsu. This however isn't that huge of a disadvantage. Probably the most difficult part is just placing one's self in short range. Another disadvantage is that the technique requires a water source. This can be fixed by using a large scale water jutsu to compensate for the lack of water. The jutsu would have to be enourmous in size as it would need to create a significantly large body of water - not just a puddle. Another great advantage is that this technique requires no hand seals and as such it can be easily used in short range while in the middle of fighting up close through freeform.

To use this skillfully in battle I would first use a combination of attacks to get in close range of my opponent and force them onto the water. Then I would follow up with a distraction. This distraction could consist of another jutsu or a flash bomb, smoke bomb, or just regular freeform. Most likely I would have the water strike at them from behind to maximize my chances at surprising them. But this could change depending on the situation however.

I targeted your clone's femoral artery for many reasons. The artery itself is located in the back of the thigh so the jutsu would have to come from behind which would allow me to surprise you. Secondly the artery is large and very difficult to miss so no medical knowledge would be required to strike it. Thirdly the artery is one of the most important in the human body. It carries a large amount of blood into the legs. Once severed you would lose blood rapidly and very quickly lose the use of your legs due to blood loss. Then die due to the same effect. It is also extremely close to the hamstring and with the piercing power combined with the moderate concussive force behind this technique a bone can be broken and the hamstring possibly torn. This would reduce your mobility significantly. I could have also targeted your lumbar region which would have knocked you over and caused significant spinal trauma. Or I could have targeted your ribs and broken many of them on one side, causing significant pain and limiting your ability to fight. Finally I could use this jutsu on your stomach to pierce that region causing significant blood loss and internal organ damage."

OOC: If you can't tell I want to be a med nin too xD. If only Vincent would reply to telling me how /cry.

Moving on, Jugram once again created more water chakra. He released his Hiding in Mist jutsu then on his senpai's command. Then he followed up by using his nature transformation to change the properties of the water and sent it to the center of the mist and used shape transformation to allow water molecules to reflect the sunlight. The result was a bright, blinding light within his mist.

Description: Using the hidden mist jutsu the user reflects the natural light an a way that it blinds there opponent temporarily as long as the opponent is in the mist.
Note: Must have already used hidden mist jutsu

"Well senpai this technique is an added layer on the Hiding in Mist jutsu. The advantage to this technique is great as such that it could blind a byakugan user since the light would overpower the sight sense. This would remove the byakugan user's advantage in the mist which before they could easily pierce and see through. With Hiding in the Mist the victim would also be sight deprived but not knocked off balance. By blinding them completely through a sudden light they will be knocked off balance and have their senses disrupted making it much harder for them to counterattack and defend themselves. It is also chakra effective and low on chakra cost to maintain. Another advantage is that if used immediately after creating the thick mist the enemy will have a harder time using a fuuton to clear the mist since their sight has been overwhelmed.

The disadvantages are mainly just one: the user must close their eyes to prevent themselves from being blinded. If not the user will suffer from their own jutsu which can have varying negative side effects.

To use this in a combination I could perform a surprise attack that could be much more noticeable in the mist. Because the victim's sight is overwhelmed they will not be able to defend themselves properly, whether it be with a sword, kunai, or a counter jutsu. The follow ups would be very similar to when I would use Hiding in Mist."

For the final technique Jugram once against focused his chakra. Once again he molded his chakra into suiton chakra. Finally he clapped his hands and expelled the water chakra from his mouth to create the vortex. He used his shape transformation to make it spin around him forming the vortex itself. To use it as both a defensive and offensive action Jugram needed to increase the amount of chakra he put into the vortex. By doing so the vortex would not only overpower the katon his senpai launched at him but also continue forward to his senpai as a cascading body of water with a C-rank in strength capable of breaking his bones through brute concussive force.

The size and power of the technique is dictated by the amount of chakra put into the technique, varying from C-rank to B-Rank.

"There are many advantages to this technique senpai. First and foremost the ability to attack and defend in one jutsu. Given the increased strength if more chakra is used in it one can defend against B-rank katons and continue onto the offensive. It can also be used to block other C rank abilities and potentially continue on as an offensive ability in certain scenarios. Additionally, the amount of water expelled is extremely high can could potentially provide a water source for many other suiton jutsu.

The disadvantages are as you listed. A raiton from below would cause devastating damage and paralysis so extra caution must be taken to avoid this. Also since there is so much water to expel and this technique would be classified as a stream technique you are left open for a short amount of time. The stream part only lasts for as long as the technique is expelling water. Once it begins to cascade then it becomes an offensive large scale projectile. Additionally, as you said, you lose vision with your opponent. HOWEVER this can be compensated with by possessing a dojutsu such as the byakugan which can see through objects. The Rinnegan and Sharingan would be able to see through the water as well and pick up on the opponent's chakra giving some vision to the user.

To use it in battle offensively I would try to time it well so I could maximize its use. I would want to take care of its attack and defending capability. By doing so I save myself another jutsu in the three I can instead of having to use one to defend and another for a counter attack. Additionally, once my opponent is busy with the water I can use a raiton in the cascading water as long as my body is not in the water. This would increase the damage and paralyze my opponent. Or I could follow up with a fuuton on a large scale to increase the concussive force and kill them through pure blunt force damage."

Tobirama appears in the battlefield immediately after Kuzan despawns. "My sincere apologies, it seems as if Kuzan has been trashed, trashed to the... DECLINE SECTION! Anyways, i will be taking over for now." He looks back at your analysis of the last few techniques and smiled. "Nicely done, we shall move on! But, just a tip on the second technique. You don't have to close your eyes, it would be most useful if you stay out of the mist, but if that's not possible, simply reflect the light around your enemies area, therefore it wouldn't blind you as well! This is assuming you guys have a far enough gap of course. For the last technique, it's not necessarily a stream technique. You simply materialize the water from around you, making it just that useful."

Tobirama looks at the neatly drawn portrait to his side, and smirked. He pointed at six pictures in order, showing it at the student while performing it himself as a physical example. "This technique is one of the most used technique EVER. I don't exaggerate when i say this, but trust me, its extremely handy. I am a water specialist myself and this is perhaps my favorite jutsu of the C-rank list. As you see the hand seals i formed and the hand seals i pointed out, I want you to perform them yourself. Get use to it, it requires a ton of hand seals, well, a ton for you, probably. As you are forging the hand seals, perform nature transformation on your normal chakra and change the nature of it into the properties of water. Once done, send it in the clouds above you, and even if there is no clouds, you can create clouds with this technique with your water chakra, with little to no delay. Once you've done so, manipulate the clouds to have rain fall, all made from your chakra. Each and every single one of the rain drops contains its a hint of your chakra. This specific technique links your chakra with the chakra in the rain, giving you a makeshift sensory technique that allows you to sense chakra belonging to others, which is why it's extremely useful." Tobirama instructs Jugram to put on a blind fold as he walks around the battle field, hidden behind a rock. With a special ninjutsu technique, Tobirama continues to mentor Jugram, projecting his voice in front of the student when in reality, he is several meters behind the student, shielded by a rock. "By now you should have memorized the hand seals. Perform the technique and with the rain drops, sense my whereabouts. Throw a kunai towards the area you sense my presence while keeping your blindfolds on. Once you've done that, tell me a few advantages, disadvantages, and how you would use this in battle (A way that would aid you in battle and help you set up combinations." Tobirama crouches down and waits for the rain to fall.

(Utsusemi no Jutsu) - Empty Cicada Shell Technique
Rank: D
Type:Supplementary
Range:Short-Long
Chakra Cost: 10
Damage Points:N/A
Description: Forming the needed hand seal Ram, a shinobi can project his voice to a different area to hide their location and the number of allies at their side. It is an excellent complement to stealth tactics.

(Suiton: Ukojizai no Jutsu) - Water Style: Rain Tiger at Will Technique
Rank: C
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short-Long
Chakra cost: 15
Damage Points: N/A
Description: A perception ninjutsu, allowing one to freely manipulate rain infused with the user's own chakra after waving the Bird → Rat → Ox → Monkey → Rat → Snake hand seals. The rain falls from rain clouds, formed with the users own chakra. During this technique, the falling raindrops are closely linked to the users senses. When the rain is obstructed by a chakra belonging to someone the existence of the target can be detected. The rain will keep on falling until the user uses the seal to cancel it.
Tobirama appears from the rock and walks towards the student. "This technique is pretty difficult to execute, only because it requires you to be in short-range of your target." As he spoke, he pointed at several hand seals on the portrait Kuzan created and explained the technique. He performs it himself as an example and proceeds to teach Jugram about the technique. "This technique creates a prison around your target. Wave the hand seals i've shown you and extend your hands outwards, towards me." Tobirama sits down in front of his student, approximately one meter in front. "As you are performing the hand seals, perform nature transformation on your chakra to change it into the properties of water. Continue by expelling water from your mouth with that water chakra, directly on me. As it spews out, the chakra you used to create the water should be lingering within and you would use that chakra to manipulate the water and shape it into a sphere around me, making sure it would be large enough for your hands (which is extended outwards, faced towards me) to fit inside and keep it inside. Once you've successfully shaped it around me, manipulate the water to become denser than what normal water would be. This should increase its heaviness and therefore, make it difficult to move for anyone inside. Anyways, a few notes about this technique. It requires at least one hand inside the sphere at all times to keep the pirson functional. Keep in mind, it requires you to maintain a constant supply of chakra therefore, performing other techniques will cause your focus on this technique to stop, and simultaneously disperse back into normal water. Now, perform it and give me advantages, disadvantages, and how you would use it offensively in battle, like how you'd set up for this technique, or what would you do after this technique is successfully set up." Tobirama sat down calmly, waiting for the water to engulf him.

(Suiton: Suirou No Jutsu) - Water Style: Water Prison
Rank: C
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short
Chakra cost: 15
Damage Points: N/A
Description: This technique is used to trap a victim inside a virtually inescapable sphere of water by waving the Snake → Ram → Horse → Hare → Ram → Horse → Hare → Hands spread in front palms out. The only downside to this technique is that the user must keep at least one arm inside the sphere at all times in order for the victim to remain imprisoned. This technique requires a sufficient amount of water, which can be provided by expelling it from one's mouth. Once trapped the target is unable to move while within it due to the heaviness of the water. Because of the density of the water it can be used, to a limited extent, for defensive purposes if performed on oneself. Water clones can be used in preparation for the technique, which block an opponent's attack and trap the attacker in the prison using the clone's own water.
"Continuing on." Tobirama whips out two kunai's from his ninja pouch, which he'd use for the following technique. "Another useful technique, the ability to replace parts of your body, or your entire body into water!" Tobirama demonstrates by stabbing himself with one kunai, directly on the stomach. Instead of flesh, water would be struct as his stomach turns to water, almost instantly. "This technique, I will throw this kunai at you, towards your stomach." Tobirama displays the kunai, and aims it as if he was aiming a dart. "Send chakra to your stomach, where i would aim this kunai at. Perform nature transformation to change it into the properties of water and once completed, i want you to change your body into water with the water chakra you've gathered around your stomach. Sounds simple, looks simple, but it is more complex. When you are in this form, you are unable to perform other techniques making it its largest drawback, and because of this, it should only be used in emergencies. This works extremely well against physical attacks, because these physical attacks would simply go through, however, you are prone to lightning techniques and a useful tip, try to reform immediately after it's done its job. You can transform your entire body into liquid, or parts of it. Once you do that, give me advantages, disadvantages, and what kind of techniques you would evade with this technique." Tobirama throws the kunai without hesitation, and aims it towards his students stomach.

(Suiton: Mizu Kawarimi) - Water Style: Water Replacement
Rank: C
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short
Chakra cost: 15
Damage Points: N/A
Description: The user can freely transform his body into liquid. This form allows him to avoid taking direct damage from many physical attacks but can not attack while in this form.
