What are you talking about? Sasuke didn't get the Mangekyo Sharingan until after his fight with Itachi. It took 3 years for it to happen after initially getting the Sharingan, no?
We talking about VoTE2 or what?

No. No we ain't. We talking about the time skip.
You realize the time skip is Part 2 right? Naruto and Sasuke's second major fight, which mind you they both consider their major fights to be: VoTe1 until the end arc.

Yeah, I don't know what you're talking about. You mentioned that he still has the same dojutsu after the time skip, I meantioned that Sasuke still had the same dojutsu after the time skip.

There's a difference between what you're saying and what Indra is saying. Here's the point that Indra is getting at:

Boruto vs Kawaki was depicted as being most likely the climax of the story, and a point at which Boruto will have fully mastered all of his current and future powers. Having said that, the fact that Boruto's eye is the same during the fight against Kawaki as it is now lends more credibility to the notion that Boruto's dojutsu is actually something strong and unique (since the main character is generally pretty strong by the time of the climax).

Now here's the difference between the time skip that he's referencing and the time skip that you're referencing:

He is referencing what is most likely the climactic final battle, where as you are referencing a simple 3 year time skip that just marked the beginning of part 2. Naturally, neither Naruto nor Sasuke would be at their final full power at the beginning of part 2. Therefore, you pointing out that Sasuke was still just at 3T at the beginning of part 2 is incomparable to Boruto's eye being as it is during the climax.

You would have more of a point if Sasuke were shown to be only at 3T during VOTE 2 and then still went on to awaken rinnegan later. However, early part 2 Sasuke isn't comparable to climax Boruto.

Also, it wouldn't make much sense for it to just evolve into normal byakugan. For one, Himawari awakened a dual set of normal byakugan at the age of 3 without such an arduous process. Why would Boruto awaken it in only one eye, or have to go through such a progression? Why would a normal byakugan respond so heavily to the nue (and thus far, only the nue and Sumire)? Since when does a normal byakugan see through dimensions or emit lightning? Lastly, how would a normal byakugan be special enough to give Boruto a main character type power level?

Two things:

1. You're under the impression that Kawaki vs. Boruto is the absolute final battle like VOTE2. Why would something so epic as the absolute final battle be teased before the series even starts. VOTE1 wasn't even hinted at in the first episode of Naruto. That doesn't make any sense.

2. You say that if Himawari awakened easily, why shouldn't Boruto? But you go on to say that Boruto's dojutsu is something greater than Himawari's. It doesn't make sense to compare the similarities as support for your theory then go on to state the differences to further prove your point. That doesn't make sense.

All we have now are all theories.

if it was becoming a byakugan it probably would of been one by the boruto kawaki fight seeing as how boruto can now activate it at will and consciously use it during a fight. We've already seen an ability to it unique to his eye(seeing through the dimension). There's more to suggest it's not just a regular byakugan than there is to suggest it's evolving into a byakugan

I wonde why Himewari doesn't have the eye

She seems to be leaning towards being more hyuga-ish, and they already have her the byakugan.... which kinda furthers the case that borutos isn't just a byakugan

I know, but, it doesn't look like something that unique is becoming something boring.

lol and people will continue to deny it is a evolved byakugan

he will likely get all his other default byakugan abilities too

Boruto only has it on his right eye

I think it has something to do with Boruto being Hinata's first born which technically makes a member of the Main Branch and him having Divine blood different from the rest of the clan just like Neji . Neji glossed over Naruto's question about why its necessary for the two branches to exist.

It seems that in the past , certain members of the Main branch carried what the Hyuga leaders called "Divine Blood"

I think this same divine blood also resides in Boruto as it did Neji. This is why Boruto unlike Himewari was able to unlock a new divine eye due to his special DNA.

We already know that the first generation of the Hyuga were aware of the moon people and even had a pact or contract with them which was passed down to younger generations of the clan.
