When Rikudo sennin fought against juubi with his brother, he defeated the juubi and created the moon using the chibaku tensei, I think the REAL moon was destroyed by the rikudo and his brother because the Infinite tsukuyomi was started, and then he created the new moon.

I think this will happen again with naruto, sasuke and madara. Madara started the infinite tsukuyumi and naruto and sasuke will destroy this moon and they will create the new moon somehow.

Possible, makes sense since the original moon should have been WAY older than the SO6P. The fact that he still created it could mean that he destroyed the original one before like you speculated.
